Re: Hi

@ArraDreaming , is there support through your Aboriginal Health Service for your eyes?

Can't believe you already need another operation. Seems like you only just had the last one!

@Oaktree , I have soooo many pairs of glasses because of the health insurance thing. The last time I got glasses, they told me to chose another one because the second pair was free of charge. I told them I didn't want another pair, and they couldn't understand why, seeing I didn't have to pay anything.

I told them that I have so many glasses that I don't wear that I don't want to just collect frames. So they said I can donate them.

So yeah.. in the end I chose a Fred Hollows Foundation pair with Aboriginal Artwork on the frame because part of the money goes towards Indigenous eye care.

I'm wearing them as we speak!

Hey @ArraDreaming!

What did you have for dinner?

I ate broccoli and chicken with parmeson and... the chilli oil!!

@tyme

I looked at the Fred Hollows range today but they were too big for my face. I also liked that $25 was going to be donated to Aboriginal eye health

Re: Hi

@tymethis surgery will be for my other eye that I got done October 2023 I think it was
Last one on the 2nd eye was late March this year.
I wish they could just do both at once but yhen I’d be completely out of sight for a bit

They need to do other things to my eyes as well

I have to go a specialist in Melbourne who is connected to Aboriginal eye health people

some of it genetic some of it obtained over the years I guess

Re: Hi

I didn't pick them for looks lol. It's because the money went to Aboriginal eye health care 🙂 @Oaktree - and they pressured me to get the second pair lol.

I've got an astigmatism... I'm as blind as a bat without my glasses. I can't even see my computer screen when it is 30cm away from me.
