@ArraDreaming yep 100% hey - like I would complain as a kid about the fact my parents refused to buy us gaming consoles, to spend it on trips/camping weekends/holidays instead. Now I am soooo grateful! Plus those environments are soooo overstimulating, it's like a recipe for meltdowns 🙃
Haha plus, you could probably make a showbag yourself for like a fraction of the price if you go to like the Reject Shop 🤣
OMG I know right?! I saw this 'new Biscoff chocolate' recently and it was almost twelve friggin dollars for this tiny block (like smaller than cadbury blocks). SMH it's nuts hey.

Also did I tell you we will have some extra help this week my in laws came down for the weekend and Mrs AD’s mum is staying for a week more, at there at own place kinda nearby but will be around to help us out a little bit which will be good @tyme I think that will make a difference

Re. community and connecting with older people - I really love that! I'm fortunate that I've been able to have relationships with all of my grandparents. Three out of four are still alive, and I've recently been wanting to spend more time with them and learn about their lives. And the lives in their parents and THEIR grandparents. I realised I don't know much about them as people; outside of them being my grandparents.

Mine was alright, @ArraDreaming. My Pop just moved into an aged care facility and my family are trying to sort out all his stuff in his house at the moment. I went to pick up some photos and stuff. I also got stung by a bee while driving. The stinger didn't come out of the bee though and I found it crawling near my handbrake, so I pulled over and put it on a bush 🤣

Ohhhh no? @0ddsidian my kid is VERY allergic to bees and we had to get a bee swarm/hive relocated once!! It made its home on a chair outside

That sounds traumatising for your little one @ArraDreaming! I'm fortunate that I'm not allergic to bees. I've just got a super itchy red bump (like a mosquito bite) on my arm.

Yeah good my mother in law is staying kinda down the road a bit In there holiday joint
coming in during the day to spend time with Mrs AD and the kids and might do dinner with us a couple of times and all that
We dont really have. Lot of space if they stayed at our place so It’s good they got somewhere
in self tapering and only one half a med (anxiety ones) today and feeling it @0ddsidian
so friggen jittery and all over the shop

Glad the in-laws have somewhere else to go, @ArraDreaming. When my family come and stay at my house they stay in my bungalow out the back, but we have to share all the living spaces and bathroom. I love them, but it can get a bit much when we can't actually escape each other. Overstimulated FOR SURE.
Sounds like a bit of a rough day. What does "jittery" and "all over the shop" look like for you? Is it a feeling in your body?
