Yes I know you loved your mum @TAB She did deserve a better life. Things may have been different for you if circumstances had changed. Try and not enertain regrets. I look back at my life and recognise that its turned out that way for a reason even though I was so ill and lost just about everything in the process ❤️

No way am I marrying anyone @TAB ! My super fund is a pretty good one. I only have about 100,000 although this will grow as the fund generally performs well. But I might spend it. I want to go back to Spanish America to see friends and see more countries and the Galapagos Islands, African safari, Antarctica and Scandinavia. And when Trumps gone back to the US (I wouldn’t get in under his rules). I have friends in US and Mexico. I also have former students in Indonesia and dear friends in NZ. Also good friends in Melbourne and Newcastle. Need to keep some for medical emergencies and home maintenance. But might as well enjoy some of it.

Yes libraries have changed a lot @TAB . I remember using the old card catalogue!

I guess I better go for a walk. Its getting towards that time of day. Just put a load of washing on the drying rack and will head off fairly soon @TAB @GezzaP

Too warm for a walk for me @SmilingGecko . I just stopped working on my financial mess and am having an icy cold drink. Will go out in the garden directly and test part of the watering system. Enjoy your walk.

i can remember cards.. barely

we used to fill out cards that looked like for lotto.

they would send them off to adelaide to get someone to feed them into a computer

if you filled it out correctly (monkey see ,monkey do) you would get a shape or something, yes they actually sent print outs back lol this was like 1977 @GezzaP

heart meds on not supposed to be in sunlight. googled name of med and too much sun today, said skin can turn grey ha ha ha lol and maybe stay like that forever ..lol

I started uni in 1981 @TAB . I wrote my honours thesis on a typewriter and my PhD on a Commodore 64 with a black and white TV screen.
