@SmilingGecko I have to move fast when I wake up to go to loo that’s aging! Lol. Usually I go back to sleep ok it’s mania or stress and anxiety that wakes me up. When I’m in a depressive mood I sleep a lot. Did my Spanish lessons. Had cooked lunch - chicken kebabs. Discovered avocado needs eating so will eat that with dinner.

I need to attack my kitchen next week and tidy things up @GezzaP It looks messy in there so Monday is throwout trash day and cleaning. Just having a quiet day today. Read the newspaper and noticed cancer is on the rise and is bankrupting families. People having to sell family businesses with rising health expenses. Going overseas for pricey cancer treatments not available here. I'd rather join Philip Nitzchke. Why people want prolong life in the face of a terminal diagnosis amazes me.

I finally resolved the problem @AuntGlow . I cried in frustration and has a bit of a yell. Lost about 50 emails. Took 3 frustrating phone calls to resolve. The last 2 people were understanding. I said I was a senior and technology challenged. They finally rang me and resolved the issue. Having a big cold drink now - exhausted.

Oh, this sounds so overwhelming for you!! @GezzaP I have been there. When something little goes wrong that really shouldn't - it somehow can be the tip of the iceberg!

How are you feeling today? 🫶

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

@SmilingGecko I know what you mean about a terminal diagnosis but if one has things they want to do or have dearly loved ones I can understand wanting to prolong life. My brother in law did things he always wanted to do and loved my (selfish) sister dearly so he prolonged his life to do those things and to be with her. In the end he signalled to her that he was ready to go. [edited by moderator] The hospital let his dog be sneaked in to see him before he was completely unaware of things. He made it clear when he didn’t want anymore surgery and was ready to go.

I’m ok today @AuntGlow . Had interrupted 7 hours sleep and just had 30 minute nap. Sorted out a bit more of my last manic cycle financial mess.

Wasted a lot of money. Bought some junk threw out in a fit of self-directed rage so can’t return. Priority one cancel accidental ongoing subscriptions. Sorting through mess a little every day. Did buy some sensible things at least. Cancelled some payments by mistake expecting invoices for them. Feel stupid. I hate manic me. Depressed me is easier to deal with.

Still upset about my sister abandoning me angry at her too.

@GezzaP I can understand him not wanting any more surgeries - it would have taken its toll. My best friend was involved with Dying With Dignity here in Victoria and had an end of life plan. She studied medical ethics and all kinds of things to do with voluntary euthanasia. She used to attend Philip Nietzches meetings and made a few friends there. That was 20 years ago when it was very difficult in terms of public acceptance. They would send journalists around to her house in 'outrage' and ended up making a ABC doco about her friend going to Mexico to get a vet euthanasing drug. They were really trying to stop V.E. here. I think now the attitudes are relaxing more and we are going to see it becoming more mainstream. I used to have a facebook friend who provided end of life compassionate care. They call them death doulas but they are really nice people offering comfort in the last days of peoples lives. She used to be a night nurse and I found her to be genuine loving and caring.

Same here in Adelaide @SmilingGecko with VE. My sister has an end of life plan. It is very detailed. She is extremely organised to the smallest detail. She has been so horrid to me. I do fear that she will not respect my wishes as she doesn’t care about me anymore - she has abandoned me. She will probably just stick me in a home as soon as she can get away with it, taking advantage of my MI. My US friend who rang this morning was horrified by her behaviour and said I’m better off without her in my life. My psychologist says the same, but I still miss her even if she is horrid to me. Sorry for the whine.

Thats no good @GezzaP. Its the same with my brother. I dont believe people can be 100% bad as there are good traits to everyones personalities. Many things have gone wrong with my relationship with my brother. Its plausible that your sister wants you in an old age facility and possibly wants the house you are living in to boot! I wouldn't be surprised at all. Some people can be so ruthless and can easily discard people when there is money involved. Just enjoy your little house and live a nice life is all I can say GezzaP. Your sister may have told you in the past she loved you but its not demonstrated by her current actions. I wouldnt be counting on her turning a new leaf. Honestly some hearts are as hard as stone.
