Hello @TAB kitty cat has woken up just now she may want to go out soon. Might have Dad's New Zealand Mince tonight. My dad was an excellent cook I wish I was like him with his culinary skills but I just keep it basic. The recipe I found online. We were always fed well growing up even though my parents were basically working class.

We were broke tilcouple yrs before left home @SmilingGecko had some terrible food couple days a week til like 8 yrs. Grisly fatty stew tastless meat was rib ends and flap ie stuff fussy cat would not eat. That got deleted eventually. Was mutton 7 days a week lol

Some people should never have children @TAB which is why I never had kids. Did not want them going without things like we did and getting teased at school for having a MI parent. Now I look at the ancestral trauma being passed down the family line that what I did was a wise choice. That and other things. It wouldn't have been not much of a life for a child. Have seen child survivors of MI parents/families and what they went through. They are now citing environmental reasons for people going childless. Too many people on the planet and the poverty cycle is almost guaranteed to repeat itself.

There weren't many people poorer than us at primary school. We just didn't realise it. I used to make fun of people worse off than us @SmilingGecko . Our clothes were patched hand me downs, home haircuts , all we had going was teeth weren't rotten, didn't stink (despite 6 people using same bathwater) and hair generally combed and read books so didn't sound stupid
