@GezzaP thanks for that. I've checked the thyme and the tag says they like a moist soil so it's possible I have underwatered them. The basil would probably have been overwatered. I'm not game to get any more, it's like I am handing money to Bunnings for the fun of it!! I didn't keep the receipts so it's not like I can get a refund or replacement either.

Maybe try seeds they are cheap and you get lots. @ENKELI

I'm not a night owl by any means @GezzaP I sometimes would go out to venues in my 20's and 30's but realised I would have to take my meds afterwards so I could stay awake. These days I live a more quieter lifestyle and never go out. I like a more passive existence. Its just a bit much these days. Just my cat and me and I'm happy with that. lol!

@SmilingGecko that's my thought too. And they are probably cheaper too!! The roof will have to wait until my male parent (I refuse to call him dad after he told me to F*CK OFF among other things this morning) dies or I reach 60 in 2.5 years (and can access my super) as I don't have that kind of money floating around! Does anyone these days?!

We have been lucky here in the 'Vegas (part of the swan region in Perth) that we haven't had major blackouts in summer and we also have a generator for when the power does go out. I want to look at solar when I get the roof repaired too.

@ENKELI accessing super sounds like a good idea and you may get an inheritance to go towards repairs and upgrades on your home. Its a very testy environment out there in the world today and people are feeling triggered by cost of living pressures and everyday stressors that have lingered since Covid not to mention looming Xmas season. I've noticed this with people generally speaking, just a very edgy atmosphere out there.
