@PeppiPatty yes crypto is alternative currency.
@ENKELI I have bamboo blinds they look good but the cord system breaks easily unfortunately. The cord can fray and wear out and the pulley system can fall apart. You also have to get them properly installed with a bracket over your window you cant just hang them from the window. I've seen some local houses will rollerblinds and they keep heat out as well as burgulars.

@GezzaP I hope your herbs flourish. I have had trouble with my herbs, I had 3 types of basil under my lemon tree as they help keep bugs away from the lemons. I gave up after I'd replaced them for the third time. I have a thyme and a lemon thyme and the plain thyme is not doing as well as I'd hoped. Everything else I have is flourishing so I don't know why the herbs don't like me!

@TAB no it's not. They didn't put in safety glass in windows, only doors. I don't know if that has changed, my house was built in 1994.

@ENKELI You may be overwatering herbs also most of them (except coriander in Summer) like sun rather than being under a tree.

@SmilingGecko that's what I thought re the bamboo blinds. Once I can access my super I will be looking at the roller shutters. I had them in the rental house I was in with ex friend and they worked really well in summer. One was a manual one that needed to be wound up and down, the other was electric. I wondered how you would bypass the electric one if it was down and there was a fire as there was no override. I will be making sure I get shutters that have a manual override in case of power outage and a fire.
I just had a quote done for roof repairs - $25 000. I am savage with my brother as it is negligence that caused the extensive damage. My fault too because I trusted him to look after my house while I was living elsewhere for nearly 10 years.
Sorry, venting. It's turned out to be a sh*tty day 😟

@ENKELI Sorry to hear your day did not go well today. That roof repair sounds like a lot of money. I think manual closing rollerblinds would be better as we're going to be seeing more and more outages across the country with the grid going down during hot weather. I think that is a good idea going manual you just got to get a reputable company.

I'm a morning person mainly @GezzaP I go to bed early and wake up early to get my energy practices done and detox routine. Some days I will watch sunrise with the crisp morning air and dew on the lawn. It resets my circadian rhythms.

I go to bed early too most nights. @SmilingGecko I hate night activities. I’m prone to falling asleep in the armchair in the evenings. I get up very early. Atm even earlier because I’m hypomanic and sleeping deeply but not for long. Get up to go to the loo and can’t go back to sleep.
