How long do your depression cycles last typically @GezzaP? Hoping you can come out of it soon. Yes its hard trying to bring yourself to do anything when depressed. I was the same. Its not particularly the best when your fighting an uphill battle with a force larger than yourself that dictates how you feel from one day to the next

That’s good no major damage to knee @TAB . What did physio say to do? Rest, ice or exercises? Hope diet works for you sending positive vibes. Had 2 ciggies since 8am working up to quit day. Hoping can be stronger in the afternoon than yesterday. Cooked lunch and did dishes.

I’m a morning person normally @PeppyPatti , but can get anxious and I smoke too much. My psychiatrist won’t give me anti-anxiety meds. I already take lots of meds for my bipolar 1 diagnosis and for high blood pressure. Am still working up to trying to quit smoking again. Had 2 since 8am. It is 1pm here. Having a down patch. Can’t take anti-depressants because of the risk of inducing mania and psychosis so just have to ride it out. Hanging in there.

Yes I heard about the refinery fire on the news this morning @SmilingGecko . Yes prices are on the way up. EV are expensive to buy and maintenance is expensive unfortunately for many people. I certainly can’t afford one. Which reminds me my car is about due for a service but can’t afford it this pay cycle cause of water bill. Not sure whether I can drag myself out to get Indian food. See how I am later.

yes not good @Meowmy they prob borrowing from others as well. I would try and get something out of them. even if say how can I lend you anymore unless you pay me back first (cos thats how they work, they pay off old debt with other debt) then when pay you back cut them off completely and lend them nothing

could always get debt collectors on them @Meowmy they will have no peace til they pay ..

How long the depression lasts depends on whether it is just a low patch or a full blown

bipolar episode @SmilingGecko . I usually

have mania before depression if it’s a full

blown episode. I haven’t had mania so hoping it is just a down patch and I’ll get out of it quickly. It is promising that I was able to shower, go to shop, get lunch and do dishes. Need to do some washing tomorrow and should water garden too. Not sure I can drag myself out to get Indian food.
