Hello @ENKELI How are you going. I was told by diabetes educator not to have sugar as it causes spikes. But I did find these treats that are ok for diabetics which I have tried. It does not spike blood sugar but I was told by a dietician from Diabetes Australia not to make a habit of it though! Any of the sweets in their 'Sugar Free" or "Smart Free" treat range is ok for diabetics according to their FAQ's
You can shop for them here:
https://www.doubledproducts.com.au/shop/
They are also sold at Woolworths possibly Coles I have not checked but the range is very narrow compared to the sweet company's website.
Here are a few sold at Woolworths

Good morning @TAB @SmilingGecko @StuF @Meowmy @Jynx . Well showered and went to shops. A small victory. Just getting showered and going to shops when down is an achievement. Didn’t buy smokes counting that as a win. A bad morning re smoking, but back to trying to resist now. It is effecting my health so need to give them up. Have a good day you all.

Hiya @GezzaP
Well done on your morning so far 🙂
Try to not beat yourself up about smoking. Not a sprint, as they say - a marathon. You'll get there in your own time.
And not buying more is a pretty huge step in the right direction

@TAB @StuF @GezzaP hey cool friends, very stressed. Was sexually abused by father. Turned to trust a mentor for years. This mentor recently borrowed money from me , a large sum and not returned twice on due date. Please pray for me.

oh @ENKELI you have bipolar 2. If I take antidepressants it risks pushing me into mania and if it’s really bad psychosis. So with bipolar 1 I can’t take antidepressants which sucks when I’m on a down like I am now. I just have to ride it out. My psychiatrist won’t give me anti-anxiety meds anymore. I take a mood stabiliser and an anti-psychotic plus sleeping meds. I sleep a lot if I’m not manic.
At least I managed to shower and go to shop this morning. Had a bad start to the morning with smokes but back to trying to resist now. I’m working up to trying to stop again when I run out. Resisted buying smokes at the shop this morning. Counting that as a win. Are you chronically depressed? Must have been tough re iron levels. I have low salt levels so take salt tablets too. I know weird with high blood pressure. I recently had my blood pressure measured over 24 hours it was fine with meds. Got another appt in August for another test. Don’t like all these appts. I get very anxious driving. I lost my confidence after I had an accident some years ago.
Sorry for long post again, but it is nice to find someone who can relate re bipolar.
Hope you are not too bad today.
