@TAB what's worse is that there was a sequel to Alvin Purple. Called Melvin, Son of Alvin. I bought it for about $5 for spits and giggles. It is so bad! I should have asked for my money back.

Thanks for your concern. I am sleeping well so that is a good sign @SmilingGecko . When I stop sleeping I get sick. At least this time I have no money to spend on stupid buying. Another symptom of bipolar. I get paid tomorrow afternoon so hoping that will make me feel better. Yeah having the forum for positive messages helps unless I’m really sick then nothing helps. I sleep a lot when I’m down but I’m sleeping normally. Usually listen to BBC radio at night but they are broadcasting parliament this week unfortunately. Oh well makes me go to sleep.

The only thing I knew about it was that Michael Hutchence was in it.

Candy I'd never heard of until recently and saw Heath Ledger was in it. I was related to him by marriage 😉

He was a pretty good actor too.

@TAB oh yes, that was a great little piece of cinematography. And even better, it had a sequel.

Fortunately I was only 3 when it was released so I missed it!

Mum and a friend of hers went to the drives to see Don's Party. She didn't have a baby sitter so I had to go along and pretend to be asleep in the back seat when they entered the drive in. I don't remember anything about it so I probably did fall asleep! Think I was about 7.
