Hi Peoples,

This thread has been done before...but unfortunately it has fallen foul of the forum bug/s.

So a few of us (like @Bunniekins @TAB ) thought it might be time for a reboot.

The idea is simple - post a clip of whatever music you would like to share with the forums community. Link the clip and tag the member/s you'd like to share it with...

Enough preamble. This clip is a bit different to what I will normally share - The Voice is not normally my thing - but I'm glad I stumbled across it today:

@heartathome I had a friend from Telstra who sang this song, (she won several singing comps) and every time I hear it I think of her. Love this song xo

“Gimme Shelter” (1969) by The Rolling Stones captures the fear, chaos, and heartbreak surrounding war and violence during the Vietnam era — a song about needing safety, comfort, and shelter when the world feels like it’s falling apart. 💜

It's very different from their other songs. Mick Jagger apparently wrote this in 1971 during a time when The Rolling Stones were constantly touring, and the song carries that feeling of being far from home, far from peace, and longing for rest. 💚

I too am heading back to the 70s, particularly after listening to "I want to be a punk rocker" posted here yesterday.
