New Music Thread (for all music, not just new)

New Music Thread (for all music, not just new)

Hi Peoples,

This thread has been done before...but unfortunately it has fallen foul of the forum bug/s.

So a few of us (like @Bunniekins @TAB ) thought it might be time for a reboot.

The idea is simple - post a clip of whatever music you would like to share with the forums community. Link the clip and tag the member/s you'd like to share it with...

Enough preamble. This clip is a bit different to what I will normally share - The Voice is not normally my thing - but I'm glad I stumbled across it today:

The song “I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (2006) is basically about longing for a different time — a world that felt more free, authentic, connected, and less driven by technology and pressure.

The lyrics compare the late 1960s and 1970s counterculture era with modern life. She references hippies, punk rock, vinyl records, protest culture, and simpler living. Even though punk rockers and hippies were very different groups, the song blends them together symbolically — “punk rocker” representing rebellion and honesty, and “flowers in my hair” representing peace and freedom.
