New Music Thread (for all music, not just new)

New Music Thread (for all music, not just new)

Hi Peoples,

This thread has been done before...but unfortunately it has fallen foul of the forum bug/s.

So a few of us (like @Bunniekins @TAB ) thought it might be time for a reboot.

The idea is simple - post a clip of whatever music you would like to share with the forums community. Link the clip and tag the member/s you'd like to share it with...

Enough preamble. This clip is a bit different to what I will normally share - The Voice is not normally my thing - but I'm glad I stumbled across it today:

$1500 @PeppyPatti ?

Many options. 150 lotto tickets would not be one! lol

Yeah it’s interesting @StuF

my mum took him away from me when he was 15 yrs old and I was powerless to stop it : if I did it call the police on her it would have halted his development.

thankyou @StuF he doesn’t know this, but we were talking about books and when I was his age that’s all I did, read incredibly difficult psychotherapy texts and guess what he is as well. I hope he doesn’t question my mind. Iv forgotten everything but I sounded very clever last night when I was reeling off all these highly clever authors on the top of my head.

It must be so special to be able to converse with him and share in his journey more now @PeppyPatti

Ooohhhh you’re the Psychotherapy lady ….. 😄 We are.

Why would that be too much for me? It's so cool @PeppyPatti that you still see your psych and I'm glad you still have them! I want the same.

It's great that I have someone who wants the best for me and can show me the way. Someone I can trust. I thought he would have me sectioned at the beginning and couldn't speak for nearly a year. I used to write in my journal and give it to him. That didn't mean I wanted to talk about it! 😏 I love my psych. I think of the song, To Sir with Love, in regard to him. (He has probably got another 10 years left before he retires. I can't even think about that (abandonment is still an issue for me).

I totally agree with you that trauma therapy is tough but liberating! It's not something I'd like to go through again! I had suicidal ideation for the first three years, wishing I wasn't here. It was awful! It was hard. The only feelings I knew of was sad, mad and glad. I had a lot to learn! I'm definitely able to process things a lot better now but am still learning and will be until the day I d**.

I'm only on SANE (it takes up most of my time) but have noticed a few different smaller ones based on specific issues (like our veterans) coming up on my Facebook timeline, since being on here. It's great to see the idea spreading. 💛

  • So happy to meet you.
    @Appleblossom @heartathome @StuF @TAB @Bunniekins @Cuddlebear

im never really told anyone this but I began therapy at 16- firstly because my undiagnosed parents were popping me into hospitals and i ended up seeing psychiatrists ………

fortunately my gp was also watching over me.

Upon reflection …………….

i realised ………. I think it was last year that I’ll just have to suck it up and always see someone for therapy.

Me too re: seen my last therapist for many years - 25 - I’m getting older, she’s getting old.

that sounds very heavy not able to speak. I would have plied you with cups of warm tea and chocky bickies if I knew you.

What do you think @heartathome I would like to start up a thread about how we manage in between seeing our therapists ?
I have 2 adult children. While my 35 yr son is also having therapy -

my youngest son refuses and it’s weirdly not surprising seeing how they both manage their lives.
I saw therapists before they were born.
