GDay @Mustang67 they are both beauitiful songs, and bought me to tears too. I have a difficult relationship with both parents but, I can honour who they were in brief moments and who I hoped they could each be. Thoe songs are really heartfelt and beautiful words, thanks for sharing and thanks for bringing up the emotions, too. It is too easy to hide behind a shield of hardness when inside all of us, there is a child who dances to the music and believes the words without ever finding out that things might be different. I was at a community event the other day, and some babies were leaping about dancing to the music, squealing and clapping their hands with pure joy as they danced around with their little bald heads and nappies on. They were so beautiful, and I made a wish that they would always be able to feel that happy and dance freely, for the rest of their precious lives.

@Sugarshack thanks for your comments. I am glad that you took the time at the event to notice the simple joys life can brings. And wishing that the babies would always be able to feel that happy and dance freely, for the rest of their precious lives. That is very kind of you.

I remember last year after doing a workshop, I realised that I am the way I am and choose the people i choose, because of my childhood. The lessons you would naturally learn in a well-adjusted family weren't there for me, because of my father. This caused me to become mad at my mum for not getting me out of that situation sooner. I didn't speak to her for 6 months. Then one day it dawned on me, that she was a victim too and she was doing the best she could. She was suffering and trying to work and raise 3 children. They didn't have people you could talk to easily back in her day. So, she suffered alone and did her best and I am grateful for that.
