Calling those who are drawn towards pagan/spiritual/fae things

Calling those who are drawn towards pagan/spiritual/fae things

Hi everyone, I thought a thread for those whom are into crystals, spiritual / energy healing, pagan rituals, spiritual practises, fae folk and mythological beings is needed.

I figured there must be some other likeminded individuals that would be into this type of thing as well.

Tonight is a black moon, and here's a quick explanation: "The 2025 August new moon is known as a black moon because it will be the third new moon in a season of four new moons. Unlike a typical three-month season that has three new moons, there is an occasional season where there are 4 new moons." (continued because the end cut off the link) of 4 new moons. Typically there are only 3 new moons in a season and this is the occasional season where there are 4.

Below is also the spiritual meaning.

@MissGremlin @Bunniekins @rav3n @SmilingGecko

Please tag any other likeminded people that you think would enjoy this sort of thing.

hey y'all, for those who know about tarot readings - is it normal for the reader to ask you a lot of questions (like about your relationship status, if you have siblings, if you're working, where you and your parents were born, etc)?

and is it also normal for tarot readers to put down/use an entire deck of tarot cards for their reading? cos i assumed they only put down/use a few cards this whole time.

@NightFury and anyone else who knows, would love to get your thoughts! 😊

appreciate your reply @Former-Member!! she asked me questions both before and after laying down the cards. i got the vibe that she's not legit because she repeated some of the same questions (asked if i had siblings, and then again asked if i had an older sibling when i already told her i didn't earlier).

she put down around 30+ cards, and only gave readings relating to my future romantic life... which i thought was odd as she had asked me lots of questions about my family but didn't read/reveal anything related to it. also her reading about my romantic life just seemed... impossible for me to believe knowing my character 😆

when you do tea leaf readings - does the person you're reading for tell you what area in their life they want a reading around? do you go in blind and let the reading navigate the answers? (sorry if that didn't make sense)

also outta curiousity, what's the difference in tea leaf reading and coffee cup readings (outside of them being different drinks/cups)?

I would be less likely to trust a reader who asked a lot of questions @rav3n Personally, I would be thinking that they're trying to get information from you to use during the reading. It's okay for them to ask for clarification duting the reading, or for your opinion on something they see in the cards. But questions that give them information on you...I would be very wary of. Also, sometimes a reader seeking validation is a sign that they don't trust their own abilities.

Some spreads use a lot of cards. The last reading I had recently used the Celtic Cross spread and it was about a third of the deck. But she also asked for clarification from other decks. Tarot decks have different purposes, some are harder hitting than others, some are gentle and more guiding.

I would say that using the whole deck is a little extreme and makes for a very chaotic and busy reading. Tarot readers read the cards differently though. And it's important to remember that the cards are just a tool to communicate a message. The real idea is in the connection to psychic abilities, or to their spiritual abilities.

You want a reader who can read not just the messages in the cards, but knows how colour and imagery relate to the message as well, who can look at the cards in detail and see what's hidden and know how to interpret it.

Hope that helps?

I can maybe post an example of what I mean about the colour and symbology? Bear in mind that I'm still learning too.

@rav3n I actually read tarot. 🙂

It’s not normal for tarot readers to ask all those questions in my opinion. It is normal for the tarot reader to have a close affinity with the deck/s they use and I allow the person who the reading is for to shuffle and pick the first set of cards. Intuition and energies are key here. The cards will reveal what you might need to know not always what you’d like to know.

There are many many many ways of doing a spread for a reading. Each tarot reader have their own way and none are wrong. 🙂

@Cuddlebear You could've had a stall one of the markets the ex and I organised. She would do coffee cup readings whilst I manned our crystal stall. We had energy healers, readers, candle makers, sound healing, and other stalls as well. Covid killed our small markets though. (I'll edit this later this evening, as I'm paranoid about oversharing)
