Give me a reason to smile please

Give me a reason to smile please

Long story short. Series of unfortunate events 🙂

Breakup happened with the love of my life who promised me next 40 years of togetherness.

2 days after that, lost my job

a week after that hurt my right hand and is swollen

In a country where i have no friends or family. Mostly spend my day feeling numb. There are days where i dont hear my own voice. Its just silence. Not sure what this universe is trying to teach me.

If you read this thread, just say hello so i dont feel alone anymore 🙂

Hi @maxsabar,

Welcome to the forums, I am so glad you stopped by. 💛

It sounds like such an incredibly painful time for you and I want you to know that you are not alone.

Grief like this is complex and would be so hard to manage on your own... I think reaching out was a really wonderful decision.

Would you like to talk a bit more about what is going on for you and how to access more support?

Until then....

@NightFury @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @Oaktree @Dimity @Captain24 @Cuddlebear @BlueBay @BluJay @Snowie @AlwaysMyself @tyme

Please give a big forums welcome to @maxsabar and give them as many reasons to smile as possible tonight. 🥰

Re: Give me a reason to smile please

Thank you for the warm welcome @AuntGlow

I just dont feel good at the monent. I keep myself busy doing things like cooking, applying for jobs, meditation, reading spiritual stuff. But it all works for a while and thn i get into the same phase.

As a temporary resident, i dnt have too much access to govt support. However, I have been assigned a counsellor from sane but our last week session got cancelled.

Do you wanna know anything in particular

Hi @maxsabar

Welcome to the forums.

I am so sorry to read about everything you are going through right now.

Hopefully you find a new job and things start to improve for you soon.

Hang in there.

I am not good with jokes.

Maybe a nice hot shower will make you smile.

I turned to these forums a lot over the years to conquer those feelings of loneliness.

Everyone on here is so nice and supportive.

I hope you make some connections here on SANE to chat to.

Re: Give me a reason to smile please

oh shit @maxsabar

thats a lot of challenges. Sorry to hear it.

sounds like you really are doing the right things ..l yeah that pesky ole universe has a mind of its own sometimes. I did lots meditation from the 1970s. I am an old grey mare.

I was born here but have spent a lot of time isolated and not speaking… I actually went back to singing in a choir to give me an opportunity to use my mouth for vocalisation. Deadly serious troo story, but some song have great lyrics so it has helped me laugh.

gently bently 🍎

What would really make me happy is just talk to someone, so i could hear my voice. I do like the sound of silence but not always.
