Partner Going Away

Hi Everyone, I've been having really bad anxiety episodes the last few days. It comes in waves. Now I feel like I'm in flight mode. My partner is going back to his home country. He said 3 to 4 months. He promised he will come back but I am still worried he is going away for a long time. I am worried that he will decide he will stay there & won't come back. I tell myself to focus on the present but my mind wanders off to the future which is not helpful. What scares me is I get so overwhelmed with my anxiety some times I start feeling so hopeless that I want to run away. It's affecting my sleep now. I know if I can get to relax & accept & let go I will be ok. Has anyone had a similar experience before?

It sounds like things have been quite up and down for you.

Have you been able to speak to a professional about some of your anxiety?
