Hey folks,

I'm doing pretty good. My terror of a 6 month old puppy is biting as I type this, fortunately it's only play biting. I have two dogs, they are great but they argue sometimes and it drives me batty....have to seperate them sometimes.

It's great to see everyone.

Re: Sunday night chat -- 27th July 2025

Soz @Shaz51 I missed the Sunday night chat.

I’m feeling a bit better. But came home from collecting my groceries to find Mac the Quarter horse not well. @ENKELI horse vet thinks Mac might have stomach ulcers. 60 - 90% of horses get them and Mac is neurotic.

Poor dramatic Mac — the neurotic Quarter Horse with a PhD in Suspicion and a minor in Fence Object Removal. 🐴💥

He’s like the emotionally intelligent lead in a prestige drama:

“I sense something’s different. There’s a towel on the fence. I shall have an existential crisis about it.”

Mac might be high-maintenance, but he knows what he likes, and that includes zero people wearing hoodies, zero fence clutter, and zero surprises.

He’s not just a horse.

He’s an Experience™. 🥕😌

The Caretaker was lucky that I remembered, that I still had leftover horse painkillers in my refrigerator.

@Glisten I love your wonderful descriptions of the 4 leggeds in our lives! Poor Mac, I am picturing him in some melodrama, strutting across the stage and showing the audience how he is the one.

I hope one day I get to meet you, and Mac and Lenny. I wonder how MM would like to live with horses.

Did you have much storm noise out your way? We had an almighty clap of thunder last night and I nearly dropped, it was so loud. I checked on my crazy cat lady friend and she said her brood bolted for under beds and such. I went to check on MM and he was passed out on my bed, not even concerned about what was happening outside. He was so cuddly last night, he rested his head on my pillow with his paw on my hand. Sometimes I forget he is a mighty warrior...clears throat, huge furry lump with murder mittens!!

How is your week looking? I am glad to hear the Brony is slowly getting better. I still think I should come out and care for you 😁

@ENKELI Awww MM. The most adorable killing machine. Holding paws with you his life mate.

That’s love right there. When you know that Mr MM has the skills to chop, slice and julienne anything that breathes, furniture and other inanimate objects.

Mac is enjoying some nice medication that he started last night.

One day I’ll get Chat GPT to write “Tales from the Paddock™ – The Drama, the Terror, the Snacks”

dedicated to the melodramas, misadventures, and mysterious snack preferences of emotionally complex horses.

🐎 Featuring:

• The Umbrella That Looked Like a Horse-Eating Bat

• The Cardboard Box That Grew Legs and Stalked Lenny

• Mac and the Forbidden Dressing Gown Hood

• The Suspicious Carrot Protocol

• Loud Noises & Sudden Movement The Final Frontier

Re: Sunday night chat -- 27th July 2025

@Glisten I am waiting in anticipation for that! Cracking up at the titles already!

You sound better. I hope you are.

Bro turns 60 tomorrow. I had considered a surprise party for him - I did that a few years ago - but he is adamant that he doesn't want a party so we're just going to do dinner at his favourite Asian restaurant. The owners recognise us because it's the same restaurant we go to for mine and mums' birthdays, along with Mothers Day and any other excuse to dine out. They are well priced and the food is delicious.

There is a programme on Foxtel called Hope for Wildlife, it's a Canadian show about a wildlife rescue (duh!!) and I have decided that when I grow up I want to work at a wildlife rescue. In Canada. One powerball.....

Re: Sunday night chat -- 27th July 2025

@ENKELI I will come to Canada 🇨🇦 with you. I speak Canadian.

We shall take Mr MM to meet the big kitties. 😁

I still have a cough and a bit of asthma. That storm kept me awake for most of last night.

I had plans to finish a couple of projects today. But I’m so tired that I’m mainly going in circles 😆

Happy birthday to your Bro for tomorrow. I hope you all have a wonderful dinner.

Re: Sunday night chat -- 27th July 2025

@Glisten excellent. I too speak Canadian, ay?

I love Canada, I want to return for real but as I get older and as the world gets scarier I wonder if I will be able to.

Stay warm and relax, you didn't get a lot of sleep so you need to let your body rest, especially since you are still having the asthmas. That is not nice at all. I caught the asthmas last year when I had Brony, it's not good.

Do I have to send Murdermittens over to jump on you and pin you to the bed? You know he'll do it!

@ENKELI you speak ALL the languages 😁

LOOK at himself’s face 🥰 and always hugs for you Retiisi 🤗

I have never been to Canadia the other Australia.

My daughter lived in Vancouver for 2 years.

If she had gone to Quebec or Ottawa, I don’t think she would have ever come home.

My Like button needs a defibrillator.🤣
