Saturday Soiree - 12th June 2025

Unfortunately, I have not even met my Soiree goals today! Wait to @AuntGlow asks about weekly intentions!!

I have pretty much completed the minutes for my sport meeting (I am the secretary) just awaiting some clarifications. So that is good, because that was the major goal for today.

I have gathered my parsley and lemons to take to sport training tomorrow - so that's a tick

I did sit in the sun - so that's a tick for self-care even though I was working

I am in front of my wood fire now, watching the dancing flames and listening to the crackling.

I did not chop any firewood, but I have plenty chopped (As I live by myself, I liked to be super prepared in case I injure myself or something, I'm like that for shopping etc etc - probably something in that - I don't know - it will be a safety thing and "need" to be self sufficient.

I did stupidly get a bit of anxiety and procrastination over the minutes, but I have recovered now.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

I note people have done well with their goals - so well done.

yes @Shaz51 still have our kelpie. she will be 13 this year, she has slowed down quite a lot.

@NightFury aww I adore a fire!! I should pull my brazier out before the weather turns! And yes very much self-care!! I think it's so cute that humans are so mesmerised by tiny repetitive movements - watching the fire, or ocean waves, or trees in the wind 🥰

@Till23 yeah you get it!! Hehe flames all round eh! Got marshmallows?

Also, no anxiety is 'stupid'. It may not serve you anymore, but it comes from a place where part of you wants to protect you from potential future pain. Glad to hear you feel recovered from it 😊

@Jynx I love sitting in front of my fire of a night with a cuppa, or just laying in front it absorbing the warmth. I love watching the flames, but also love watching the waves at the beach. I used to become so absorbed by the way the light reflects off of water. We would go out fishing with my uncle in his boat and I would be too busy watching the light and the water.

I actually checked (okay, I got dragged by Razz who had the zoomies) my raspberry bush - it's looking very unhappy 😬 I hope it's just winter blues lol

Aww I know right @NightFury!! The full moon rising over the ocean is a very special sight indeed!!

Oh it was a full moon last night too!! She so shiny that Luna Goddess, hehe 🌝
