music & wellbeing - do you use it as a tool for managing stress and mental health?

music & wellbeing - do you use it as a tool for managing stress and mental health?

Hi SANE Forums

I'm keen to know if many of you listen to music, play music or use music as a tool for coping, processing stuff, making sense of recovery or for other things like managing stress - particularly whether for any of you who are parents - does music play a role in your wellbeing or recovery either just as a person living life or in your role as a parent?

Keen to hear from anyone with an interest in this topic!

@tyme could you boost this to those who might have a perspective to share?

As children, my younger sister was a creative musician, I was technical, and my older sister was a balance of both @Rockdog

Music has its place 🙂

Hi @tyme ,

Hope you are well and Ruby is behaving. I would love to be able to understand the guitar in a technical way. When I can’t I feel like there is a critical part to being able to play missing. Do you get to play sometimes?

I play once every so often. I've got a guitar too, but I don't play that often @Rockdog
