Spud Buds!

@tyme I forgive you for not liking tatties 😁. I like to think it's my Irish heritage that predisposes me to liking spuds.

Now I am wanting to make poutine....hot chips covered in gravy and cheese curds. Except I just use grated cheese as I don't have curds. It probably sounds disgusting to you!!

Wow! I've never heard of that.

I feel OLD - do you know why? I can't eat many hot chips now because I feel sick after. I had a few fries last night and I felt so unwell. It's not the fries themslves, but the oil.

I have to be so careful so I don't have issues with my liver/gallbladder.

@tyme I have no idea where to locate curds in Australia much less Perth although there are a couple of wholesalers who stock it. Probably specialty IGA shops or gourmet delicatessens.

You aren't old! I was sure I was much older than you. And as for gallbladders, they are just evil. I suffer with gallstones and medication induced fatty liver so I know how you feel. I rarely deep fry chips anymore because I get unwell too.
You poor thing, nothing worse than feeling sick and uncomfortable due to fatty foods. I hope you're feeling much better now sweetie.

While I am on my quest for chicken salt I am going to see if I can find cheese curds too. I wonder if I still like them lol!

Yeah, I have a fatty liver @ENKELI which is NOT good for my age! And yes, chips have a big part to play! I don't really eat crisps.. but hot chips have been my go to.

I dunno why @ENKELI but the word 'curd' has a massive ick factor for me! Maybe cos of 'curdled milk' lol. What are cheese curds like, is it the same vibe as like, marinated feta?

@Jynx well that's pretty much what curds are! They are a product of curdled milk but not in a gone off way lol! They are mild and salty. I can't really remember the taste as they were mixed with hot chips and gravy. I think I'll just stick to using grated cheese and continue the Quest to Find the Real Chippy Salt!
