Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Hi people, [edited by moderator]. Living in melb for almost 2.5 years. Have no friends or family here. Yesterday was one of the saddest days of my life when i met my partner and she decided to breakup with me saying "she doesnt want to be in relationship at this point in life". I wasnt expecting that. She dint give me any signs or flags. We also planned this weekend away with each other. I had all stuff packed and ready. I was excited.

I really dont know what happened. In 30mins, she came, broke up and left.

Being in a new country, with no close friends or family, no one to speak with is hurting me so much. I cried whole day yesterday. Today i am just numb.

If you have any suggestions or advise, please let me know.

Apologies for typos. English isnt my first language.

Thanks

Re: Introduction

welcome to the forums @maxsabar it's lovely to e-meet you!

i'm so sorry to hear about the break up, i can hear how painful and confusing this all is, please do take your time in processing it. there's no rush. those feelings might feel heavy right now, but with time, things will get lighter. you're not alone here 💙

moving to a new country without friends and family is definitely a big transition, and i can imagine how isolating and overwhelming it must've been. i'm really glad you're here now - i hope our online community can provide you some connections, we have some social spaces where we chat about random things from how our day's going to sending memes!

do you study? do you have any hobbies/interests? would you be open to trying out some social events or join social clubs?

Hi

I really relate to the pain of experiencing loneliness. Breakups are absolutely painful and confusing. I don't have any friends in my life. I am here for you .

Take care.

Hello @maxsabar and @Lonely_Soul,

It sounds like you will both be of huge support to one another right now. I am so sorry to hear you are both feeling a sense of loneliness... I understand this feeling well and it can be so incredibly overwhelming, especially after an abrupt breakup in a different country @maxsabar.

I can imagine this would have completely thrown you, so how you are feeling makes perfect sense. Like @rav3n said, this may hurt and feel confusing for a while, so please know that it's okay to feel everything fully - you don't need to race through your healing. What I am most curious about is what you need right now to feel supported? Let's start there. 💗
