Re: Can someone help me

Hi @Pepsimax

Nice to see you around today 🙂

It's lovely that you're so concerned about other members. In my experience, just responding back and letting people know you care and are listening is helpful - you don't have to have all the answers.

If you're finding that reading over people's experience is causing you distress, it's really important to take care of yourself. If you don't feel comfortable responding to a particular post, that's totally fine!

Here are some resources on taking care of yourself here in the Forums that you might find helpful.

While a moderator is always behind the scenes keeping an eye on things, it is not possible to respond straight away to everyone. We really value the peer to peer responses (they are better than ours ), so as moderators we try and facilitate peer to peer support first and foremost.

It's great that you are keeping an eye out. I hope you're taking care of yourself, as it can be tough sometimes.

It would be interesting to hear from other members about how they manage reading and responding to people's post. How do you take care of yourself and how do you manage posts that you don't feel comfortable responding to?

Take care.

Re: Can someone help me

Hey @Pepsimax. I wanted to reply to this as I felt bad when I replied to your post to me in the nest this afternoon.

You asked me if there was anything you could do for me. I so wish I could have thought of anything at all anyone including me, could have done for me, and I felt frustrated at myself that I couldn't. What you did though was show me you were there, that I wasn't alone, and that you were listening. That meant alot to me.

Something I have noticed here on the forum is that everyone has their own needs and their own version of what support means to them. I have seen people benefit a lot from receiving advice or being encouraged to try different things that might help. I have also seen people benefit from having a space to share what's happening and not be given answers or advice, but know that people care enough to listen.

It can be really hard to know what to say to someone here sometimes. I get that feeling often. I think it can help to 'know' the person you're replying to, but even then it can be a bit hit and miss.

You have a big heart pepsimax, and I can feel it through your posts. Sharing it when you have with me, helps me. I just wanted you to know that.

Hope your afternoon is going ok. I'm heading off to do dinner and things now, but will probably be back later on tonight. Might 'bump' into you then 🙂
