My life sucks
And I have no hope that it’ll get better, despite being told by everyone that spoken to that it would. But I know for a fact that it won’t, not even in decades time.

@AlwaysMyself wrote:Hi @Blackcloud 😊 thank you for re-tagging me; sorry its taken a few days for me! My emails have been.. to many and im getting lost in them 🥺. Im trying to go through them when i can to figure out what i've already read or not.
I've been ok mostly the past week. Very tired though, so had lots of extra rest time. But still feeling exhausted.
How are you doing?
@AlwaysMyself aww noooo I can imagine how annoying that is having to get through many emails and getting lost in them 😕 I appreciate you for letting me know my friend ❤️ 🫂
for me I'm trying to get through it all even though there's nothing in my life to look forward to so the only thing I can do to endure it is to just exist and survive 🥲 the negative thoughts still creep up in my head, but then you know it's easy to have pessimistic thoughts when things don't or never go the way you expect them to be (and no that has nothing to do with the current situation about my mum so don't worry!!😊) a
lso don't get started on the NDIS in general lol -- I've read/heard of other participants funding getting slashed and I'm worried that that's gonna happen to mine too by the time I get my plan reassessed 🥺 it's sickening how much the NDIS doesn't care about giving the right/proper support to its participants, like for me, I realise that having more support work hours and days per week is important for me right now (and thats what my OT has put on her FCA + my social worker on her upcoming letter of support) so hopefully I DO HOPE that the NDIS planner can actually consider adding the right/proper amount of funding and supports according to all the evidences submitted and not consider on slashing the funding :face_with_rolling_eyes:

@Blackcloud Agree, sadly NDIS funding is not enough to cover what people need. I know a few people who worked in NDIA in the past and left because it was too hard emotionally because of the beaurocracy and limitations/pressures -- they cared about the clients but the system isnt enough to provide adequate support to everyone who should be eligible. 😢
I am glad your OT and SW are both putting in letters/reports to support your need for MORE not LESS hours. Keep me posted how it goes?
Can you appeal the decision if they do cut it?
What day is the film production group? (Sorry, forgotten what to call it!!) Have you been to the second one yet?
Is it something to look forward to in the week?

@AlwaysMyself yeah that’s not surprising if they have left due to that reason. I would’ve left too if I worked in NDIA
of course! My social worker is currently in the process of writing the letter I just need to do a questionnaire for her to prepare for it (I think the questionnaire is similar to how my OT did it for my FCA)
You can only appeal the decision to the NDIA via an internal review - and if they declined it, then you can appeal it to the tribunal. Though I hope I won’t have to go through that cause I’m aware how mentally and emotionally stressful and taxing it is to be fighting for your rights at the tribunal. And for others it’s already been a few years since they’ve started fighting for their case and are continuing to fight for it! My full respect goes to them, though for me I don’t know if I even have the capacity to even fight for myself, let alone for a really long period of time
oh I went to the 2nd film workshop yesterday and my experience so far has been a bit better than last Saturday’s. 😊
and yeah I guess so haha

Wow, ongoing for years?!? And in the meantime i'm guessing theyre on the lower funding decision 😭. That would add insult to injury, eh @Blackcloud .
Glad yesterdays workshop was an improvement on the week before too. 😊. Hopefully each week will feel a little easier or less scary, or a bit more familiar, etc etc.

@AlwaysMyself I just got off from the shower so now I’m feeling refreshed 😊 having a shower gives you that feeling that the water is washing away your negative thoughts and feelings that have been stuck in your head for a bit
I’m also considering on getting remedial massages done by this naturopath I’ve found on instagram who is an ND herself and provides a neuroaffirming approach. Not sure when I plan to get my first remedial massage (I guess next month or something?), I think it’s probably after having like…a few online consultations (including some possible upcoming naturopath test results consultations) with her?
my thyroid function results since getting a blood test done at my local doctor in January is on the lower side (lower than normal range) & this naturopath targets all sorts of health related stuff like the thyroid, as well as such conditions that impact your nervous system like IBS etc. etc.
i am getting my thyroid retested again either somewhere in late February or on the 10th/11th March on the dot (better not to get your blood tested whilst you’re on your period)

I hope the naturopath helps @Blackcloud 😊, and the remedial massage. I hope it helps with the thyroid and other areas too 😊.
Is your GP good with also suggesting things to help with things that come up in the blood test results? I hope they will also be good with working alongside / in conjunction with the natropath 😊.

@AlwaysMyself well the GP did say that if the results for my thyroid function remain consistently low that she'll prescribe me medication for it so that my thyroid function can spike up back to normal, however I'd rather rely on the natural remedies side of things instead of going on the medication route for....reasons.
I'm sure my naturopath will bring up about some specific things (including the low function thyroid stuff + the retesting) I mentioned on the new client form thingy I had to fill out before I made a booking for our first 15-minute free consultation 😊

Let me know how the first consult goes @Blackcloud 😊. Fingers crossed!

thank you @AlwaysMyself my friend, will keep you posted! my first consult with the naturopath will be on the upcoming Thursday afternoon via telehealth
for remedial massage sessions, it takes me a total of over 2.5-3 hours via public transport to get from my place to her clinic (I know its a bit or lot of effort of commuting but oh well it is what it is!)😅

Wow that is quite a travel for a return trip @Blackcloud ! But yep, sometimes it is worth it. 😊
When i lived in sydney a long time ago i drove 45-1.5hr each way (depending on traffic variations!) every week to see a pdoc. 😏. I used to find other things to do whilst in that area - e.g. the Palace Cinemas.
Currently i drive 30-40min each way for a 5-10min appt weekly 😏, so i sometimes hang around for a coffee or lunch afterwards so that it doesnt feel like such a big drive for such a short appt. But then i get tired for being out for so long 😅. Ah well.
