@avant-garde whilst I always think it's important to be honest and let people know how you are feeling, I also know how much it can hurt when they don't give you the time of day or their opinions are unhelpful. So i know it's a fine line between being honest or just pretending everything is ok.

I've got this right?
I don't have to be happy right?

Re: The darkness is overwhelming
@avant-garde I believe you've got this.
You don't have to be happy, it's ok to feel whatever you feel right now.

@avant-garde that sucks about the meltdowns and the idiot but I'm glad you survived.
How are you feeling?

Re: The darkness is overwhelming
@avant-garde understandable. Have you got anything for the rest of the night or is it time for some self care and maybe bed time?

I need to eat something... one of the meltdowns was that the meat and gravy wasn't checked for my allergens. Apple cider vinegar or red wine is sometimes used in gravy... especially from the fancy places that my church tends to order from...
The idiot was the nosy so and so who doesn't know my allergies and doesn't know me who comes up and says "you can eat the meat". I snapped her head off and told her I can't.

@avant-garde oh that's super frustrating and really rude of her. I'm sorry that your allergies weren't taken into account, if it's something they know about then they should have made sure the food was safe for you or had another alternative.
What are you going to have to eat?

The lady who organised the meat is a good friend of mine and my allergies are obscure that you don't always think "it could be in this".
My last severe reaction that wound me up in hospital was to pumpkin soup, they had used white wine instead of cream as a base.
I could eat the salad, the lady on the salad kept one dressing free, it helped.
