Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Today I'd like to wash the dishes, I stacked them up yesterday - but didn't get any further. I did have to do a very necessary clean up in the bathroom (which only took me 2 days:) ) I'd also like to sweep the floors, my dogs keep turning my bed into a sandpit - if I swept I wouldn't have to shake the sheet every night 🙂

Hello everyone

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

today I will

- get my week prepped for work next week

- do some study

- finish the washing!

- Face food shopping YIKES!

oh and wash the dog and take him to the dog park (i've been too sore to go walking this week and i think the chewed up dvd player remote control this morning, holes in my cushion and a big hole in my lawn might be signs that he's a bit bored! sigh!)

@Former-Member HaHa, he's not bored - he worked up his entertainment from not so exciting cushions to DVD remotes - Wow . . . that's excitement. 😄 😄

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

@Former-Member When we first got him (he was a rescue) we went through quite a lot of remotes sigh! it's his thing! but he hasnt for ages, and not even sure how i didnt hear him! I was awake on and off! unless it was after my lil boy got up this morning! Crazy thing is.. its actually cheaper to buy a new dvd player than try to replace the remote control or get a universal remote! He's a kelpie cross so I usually give him one long walk in the evening/afternoon and kids take turns throwing the ball for him in the mornings hehe. oh dogs! Not sure what I was thinking when i decided it would be a good idea to get a dog lol, but wouldnt be without him now either 😄

@Former-Member Do you give him bones or pigs ears or something that he can chew on? Might not be able to stop the chewing but maybe you could get him to focus on something that's not so expensive to replace 🙂 My child found that printers are similar, it's cheaper to buy a new printer than buy the inks that go in them! Though they recently got a laser printer and has found that black and white cartridges are affordable. They are doing a course that requires LOTS of printing out!

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi, Yes he has lots of rawhide bones inside, plus pig ears and other bones outside 🙂 he's just a busy, loveable ratbag hehe! @Former-Member

oh yes!! printer inks are crazy. I buy mine on EBAY i get 4 packs for the same price as one here, but they come from china and take a while to get here... so i try to keep ahead of it... I print a lot at home that i shouldnt for work, but its so much easier!

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

Hi all, another seriously unmotivated day here. Just like the past couple of days. I've got nothing done aside from work/recreation on the computer. Bit of TV. Lots of napping. Groggy as always for hours into the day. Seem to have no physical energy all day long. Only mental energy. Low ebb in general except, oddly, my superficial mood seems okay. Familiar state of being this, way too familiar. Don't want to set any goals because I got depressed about failing them a couple of days ago. Oh alright, just one for today: to motivate myself to do one thing, anything, that is more physical than mental. Thanks for listening to my sorry tale.

I used to love taking photo's, fire used to fascinate me - lots of things fascinate me! But I'm sending you this one to help ignite your motorvation. 🙂

(still haven't filled my sink yet)

@Former-Member, thanks. Have to wait a bit for image to appear at this end (moderation process) but like the idea of finding some physical fire. If I wasn't on mobile I'd find you a watery picture to inspire a dishes mood, hehe. 🙂
