Daily goals, motivation and check in

Daily goals, motivation and check in

I'm starting this discussion as a place where we can set our goals daily, help motivate each other to do them and then check in with how we went. It's a place to celebrate when we achieve them or just sit with each other if we didnt and are feeling down about it. Hopefully with encouragement and support from each other we'll tick lots of boxes for our daily goals and feel good about it. Please join in. 😊

Gidday Mazy @Mazarita 🙂

The idea was a bit cool, and it's still in the back of my head - but all I've really done is bring a bunch of stuff into the lounge room 🙂 I can re-pack it from there 🙂 I haven't actually got my head around the next camp trip yet, and kind of hope playing with packing and looking up the internet will kick me into gear. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I went out to the car and started . . . it started drizzling {I wouldn't go as far as calling it rain, but it made everything wet and yuk!} So it's as good as it's gonna get now! 😄

So glad you got another beach visit in 🙂 Sorry you've got a flare up, I know they're bad in more ways then one. Kind of brings aging to the forethought. Feebleness, fear of losing independance, and wondering what the end is really like. But you and I aren't finished yet, we're aging not dead; you have your companion, I have the center of my Universe - we are still needed and wanted. Besides that, your the first real friend I've made in near on a decade!

I've just realized I have to go into town . . . yep, just checked and today is Monday so the shops are open. The young fella is out of biscuits, and because he's a whole year old on the 7th of this month, I'm changing him on to produce store ones {the vet won't be making as much money from me now! :D} I'm also out of bread, which is such a quick and easy answer to a feed 😄 So I'd better go and do that now . . .

Catch you later

Niqua.

Hi @Mazarita, I find it so calming to watch/listen to the waves tumble along the foreshore.

I hope your leg pains have eased & you can get to do some more pondering at the beach.

😃

For tonight:
- Eat something for dinner that isn't just M&Ms.
- Finish putting primer on le skateboarde (can you tell I don't speak French?)
- Spin a pokestop.
- Tidy up some boxes.
- Quick skate.
- Dishes.
Ugh why are there so many things to do?

@Faith-and-Hope I managed to cook a great batch of air on the stove instead of some fish in the oven. Since I turned off the wrong thing, like a giant moron.

Face-Palm @TheVorticon ..... we all do stuff like that ......

I remember picking up an intercom handset one day in a place we were staying in and saying hello repeatedly to nobody at the front gate ..... meantime wondering why the phone had not stopped ringing ..... :face_with_rolling_eyes:😜

Daily goals for me are to attend an AA meeting each day, exercise, read, 'pray' and start looking for part-time work. I find it hard to keep to my plans but hopefully i can stick to them this time or i risk loosing those i love, not to mention my own sanity. Im on a thin thread with my partner at the moment...so having this thread is a great idea to help keep me accountable and supported through my goals. Cheers! 🙂

Re: Daily goals, motivation and check in

So far this morning I have washed the dishes again! It's so much easier when your talking a bowl, fork and a coffee cup - compared to the usual fortnight to month mountain 🙂

I've made the bed again! There's something I haven't consciously been concerntrating on doing - it's just sort of happened as I mull around the place dealing with dirty clothes. It's so much easier to do in the daylight and prevents the critters putting the grit between the sheets, so I don't have to shake them before I climb in at night. (I've even been making the young fellas bed, which makes it easier as when he climbs in at night, he lays down on top of his blankets - I don't have to try and race in there before he does so, because I have them neatly folded at the end of my bed :))

I've gotten the fire ready to go and broken enough branches to keep us cosy tonight. So much better than scrambling about in the near dark with an axe!

I've got the genny going and am on wash load number 3! and as I've been putting on the line I've been taking yesterdays clean ones off - I have a pretty good feeling about getting on top of my dirty washing, as I seem to be doing with the dishes!
