Questioning my existance

Questioning my existance

I joined this forum late last year and things have been on the decline since then with my life, just general day to day living and financial matters and just my existance in living.
I am a single mum of two (not by choice), one who lives with his father and I have my other child living with me. I often sit here thinking of my existance and how my life has become what it is today, I stayed in a very violent domestic marriage for close to 21 years and only stayed with my now ex husband for my kids .... as I didn't want them growing up like I did ... without a father in their life. I have so many mental issues from staying for so long that it gets me down on a daily basis and I often think "why bother staying around"?.
Why does life have to be so complicated and hurtfull?

He sounds like a great kid. @mummttotwo.
Yes do something for yourself tonight. I think we don't do enough for ourselves. Small things - regularly. Makes you start seeing the world better.
I'm also single. I don't have a bloke to do things with. So I do them myself. I have to love me first. One step at a time.
Happy birthday. And enjoy the rest of your night.

Re: Questioning my existance

@utopia .. thankyou ever so much. I don't have a bloke either, after my 21 years of abusive (emotional, physical, and verbal) I find it really hard to "trust".
Thankyou for chatting with me too, its nice to know there are non judgemental strangers and people on these forums. Hope you have a great night too, and thankyou ever so much for my birthday wishes. x

Re: Questioning my existance

Hello @Mummytotwo, hope you don't mind me jumping in here. I have just read the thread and my heart goes out to you. I wish you a Happy Birthday for yesterday. I hope you did go and do something for yourself last night. You deserve it!

I live on the south side of Brisbane and have just discovered Logan Womens Health. I know this is a long way from you but maybe they may be able to direct you to something closer to you that you will be able to get the support you so need right now.

@utopia is a wonderful support person as well as many others on this forum.

Please look after yourself and get the help you need. No judgements here as we have and do experience what you have been feeling.

Hugs to you.

Re: Questioning my existance

Hi @Heart. Thankyou for your birthday wishes, muchly appreciated. 😙
I didn't end up doing anything special for myself, I ended up going to bed early as the lonliness I felt y/day and lastnight from my friends and family tore me apart, and I'd hoped it would be a different day today.
I had some sort of breakdown yesterday afternoon at my sons school while meeting with his principal and the financial manager at his school because I'm unable to continue to pay his school fee's and keep him at his much loved school he attend. I just feel like I'm drowning in debt, and emotionally, and physically.
I went and saw my GP this morning to get another 10 visits to see a physcologist so I'll make my appt soon to start seeing her again and try and sort myself out before I end up breaking down and being taken to hospital.
Thankyou for your kindness and the non judgement from this forum is great to know.

Re: Questioning my existance

@Mummytotwo, I saw your appology on another thread. The mods are just doing what they have too and it is ok, they need to keep all in mind. This can happen to any of us.

Just let us know you are ok and taking care of yourself.

Re: Questioning my existance

belated birthday wishes @Mummytotwo

yes you will find much support and empathy here..

you will see others post comments that you too relate to and this will aid in helping you feel not so alone with everything..

being a mum is the hardest job in the world...no training..no instructions...

no matter how hard the struggle...I would not change my two sons for the world...they mean everything to me....

I sense from other's comments you feel exactly the same..

mummy free from two time needed too
