@Glisten yes words are so powerful which is why it's so important to be careful what is said to someone especially when it comes to professionals.

It hurts even more that this psychologist is still practising and I cross paths with him when I go to my doctors appointments. Just makes me so angry at what he did.

I bet he’s a narcissist.

It is the sort of thing that a narcissistic psychologist would say if he was out of his depth.

That comes from first hand experience.

@Glisten that really wouldn't surprise me if he was. The last session that was had with him he and my partner at the time talked about me like i wasn't there saying so many hurtful things, belittling me and dismissing how i felt. I refused to go back after that but my now ex still continued to see him.

Yep! @MissGremlin Happened to me with my ex. But the psychologist counsellor use to call him to see if my ex was okay.

The ex didn’t keep going to the psychiatrist. Because my ex is perfect. Just ask him.

Your ex and former psychologist might have a bromance. Not unusual for two narcissists to feed each other’s egos.

@Glisten it's just disgusting to hear that this happens all too often. Ugh i can't even describe how it makes me feel, like honestly just makes you want to scream and curse at them.

@MissGremlin I’m awful. I wish hateful things on those people. Then I realise that I don’t matter to them.

They aren’t giving me a second thought. Or even a first thought.

I could have been anyone.

What they do isn’t about me. It’s about them.

I've had my fair share of narcissistic relationships all of them different in certain ways.

@MissGremlin The type of narcissist, will vary, but the pattern doesn’t. It’s either shorter or longer.
