Hi @Roses86,

I am sorry to hear about your challenging time at the hospital and want to acknowledge how difficult it must have been. Also, good on you for reaching out today even though you haven't been feeling the best and having a tough time.

You're not alone, and this community is here to support you.

If you're feeling unsafe or having thoughts of suicide, I encourage you to reach out to immediate supports. You might consider contacting:

  • Lifeline (13 11 14) for 24/7 crisis support
  • Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467)

If you’re comfortable, let us know how you're managing right now?

Re: .Needing hospital

I’m sorry you had that experience @Roses86 I know first hand how difficult it can be to navigate the mental health system and find support.

I have found the Mental Health Triage line 13 14 65 useful when in a crises and not sure if the Emergency Room is the best option. It’s a 24 hour service and they can help connect you to a range of services depending on your situation.

It’s hard when you’ve reached out for help and feel like you’ve been let down. You’ve shown a lot of strength so far and I encourage you to keep reaching out to find the help you need.

Hey @Roses86 ,

Do you have access to private health cover for a private admission? This will probably be a better option for therapeutic services.

I'm sorry to hear how hard things are for you. I can certainly relate to what you are sharing. For me, a much better option was Prevention and Recovery Centres (PARCs). These are step up/step down services where residents live together in a house for 2-4 weeks and receive psychosocial support as well as clinical support. Not sure if you have these in your area.

What do you hope to achieve from being in hospital?
