Welcome and getting started

New to SANE

New to SANE

Good Morning everyone,

I'm a 38F with PTSD, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety Disorder & psychosis.

My main concern at this point in time is the psychosis symptoms. I'm physically unwell at the moment and have had to return to taking an antipsychotic as my symptoms have increased in that area. I've got many big stresses happening in my life at the moment too which makes it more difficult to get on top of my mental health.

I don't have many friends as I struggle with social skills.

I have an unhealthy addiction to glitter, hair and makeup (but I love it!) ☺️❤️

I hope to connect with like minded people on here 😊

Yes, I have three little dogs (2 x Maltese/Shih-tzu's and a little Maltese cross & a tubby tabby).

I can't get into the colouring in personally, not sure why but I just don't like it - might be the hand cramps? 🤔

Do you have pets?

Re: New to SANE

Hi @Blackcloud ,

Thankyou for the message ☺️

I've just got a few appointments this week but nothing exciting is happening until the weekend - maybe... An old friend might be coming to visit me on Sunday, so I'm a little bit hoping for that but not letting myself get excited incase she can't come.

What about you?

@ChantillyLace awww 3 little dogs 😊.

It's not for everyone, I struggle with hand cramps but push through it. It's the only thing that keeps me going some days.

I don't have any pets anymore sadly.

@MissGremlin what are your favourite things to colour?

Do you do mandalas? I'd like to get a mandala tattoo one day ☺️

@MissGremlin also I'm sad for you that you don't have any more pets 😢

Re: New to SANE

@ChantillyLacei love to colour mandalas. But i colour all sorts of things. I tagged you in some pics earlier that I've done recently but it might have been confusing.

I've had to put 4 dogs down in the last 5 years, my heart has been so broken not having a dog anymore.

Oh, I feel so awful for you 😞 we've had two long time dogs put to sleep in the past 6 years so I can understand how sad that must make you feel about having your little furry babies... I'm sorry if I upset you by asking if you had pets.

I'll see if can find the posts with the colouring in that you mentioned. I'm sure they look amazing! ☺️

Hi @ChantillyLace

Sounds like it’s gonna be quite a busy week for you. An old friend coming over sounds quite exciting, but I can see why you might be a bit nervous that she probably won’t come - totally understandable to feel that way!

I’m gonna be going to the dentist to get my wisdom teeth out today - only the ones on my left side since I’ve already got the ones on my right side removed a month ago. After the treatment is gonna be not fun for me within the first few days as I might need a bit of rest to recover, I’m just a little worried that it either might affect my ability to work on my assignments or fall a little behind on them, but at the same time I’d like to hope for the best that I’ll be able to get through it all whilst I’ll be recovering from it again.🤞

Re: New to SANE

Oh, wisdom teeth aren't fun to have removed ☹️ I had all of mine removed under a general years ago. Recovery was rough but worth it. I imagine only having two out at once would be alot easier to manage. At least you can chew on one side still. I hope it all goes well and make sure you rest up enough before hitting the books! All the best!!

Re: New to SANE

@ChantillyLace Personally I find during the procedure in general to be okay, but after the procedure is the one I find not so fun, cause yeah I would have to have quite lots of rest within the first few days post procedure 😅 I’m glad I opted for a local anaesthesia as I don’t have anyone to support me hehe but I’m doing okay and completely well 😊 I just have to take some medication and remedies for about a week.

just had the procedure done 3-4 hours ago. And just more than an hour ago, I’ve managed to work on one of my assignments for a bit which I’m proud of.
