Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@NightFury @I like that show too. Can’t afford Netflix at the moment but hopefully in the future I can watch the last season. Hope you’re enjoying it.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin Yes it’s really nice in nature there. Beautiful beach and a big pier. We went for a walk and sat on a seat in pier. Just got back home.

Im lucky I get some support worker hours.

How are you feeling this afternoon? Was there a hole in your glass?

Re: Battles

@NightFury Anxiety is sometimes just there. It’s not fun to have to feel it though. It’s a constant companion of mine these days.

There’s so much information about how to help with it. I’ve not found Whay works for me. What about you? Are there things that can help?

I hope this afternoon is easing up and things feel more gentle.

Re: Battles

@Chasingsunsets i have nothing on at all. Having a hard time self regulating at the moment so just trying to work on that (I'm safe). The roast was yummy but its all gone now.

What about you, have you got any plans?

Re: Battles

@Cuddlebear it all sounds so beautiful, I'm so glad you got to go and that you get time with a support worker.

I am having a hard time self regulating today, things just seem to keep building up and my usual coping strategies aren't helping (I'm safe). It's very frustrating.

There was a hole, my drink didn't last long enough 😂

Re: Battles

Anxiety has been my companion since I was a teenager. It gets quite bad when it starts to make me feel unwell in the tummy. @Cuddlebear and sits heavy on my chest.

I have found distraction activities that help. Deep breathing helps a little. I like squishy fidgets that help me keep my hands busy.
