Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Hello @Cuddlebear my sweet, I'm tired and feeling very emotional today, I just got back from the shops but I'll be going back again a bit after lunch.

How are you going beautiful?

Re: Battles

Hey @MissGremlin

I just came on here to browse before I delete the forums off my phone for now.

I read about how rough things are and needing to go to hospital. The last time I went to hospital they had therapy dogs in training permitted for the patients. Some weren’t very well trained at all! lol.

When I go I get house sitters. They can and stay and look after my two babies. I’m not sure of the Facebook group name but there is a page with pet and house sitters that all have references and police checks. That’s how some of them live by just going from one job to another. My sitters have been all over the country and don’t charge.

I do get a lot out of going to hospital. I have health insurance so I go private. If I don’t need a hysterectomy then I’ll be going in August. If I had enough leave from work I would go now but I don’t have the leave.

I hope this gives you something to think about. It can be really beneficial. The first time I went I came out a completely different version of me.

I do hope things get easier.

Hello @Captain24, I hope you are doing ok?

Thankyou for information, there's a few other things that I have to consider and need to be taken care of that aren't things I can bring up here. I'm hoping I can work something out but until I can i just have to keep pushing through the best I can. Whilst Casper is trained, he gets very excited to see people lol, and there's still my snake and bird that need to be taken care of aswell as other things.

I had a hysterectomy 8 years ago now. I hope all goes well for you when you do go into hospital, sucks that you don't have enough leave to go sooner.

I hope you are having a lovely day and i appreciate you popping in here to help ❤️

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin Hello my friend. I’m so glad you got to shops this morning.

How are you feeling this afternoon? Did you manage another trip to shops?

I had Wilbur’s vet appointment today his infection is all cleared up. Thwt makes me very happy. It’s like 34 degrees here so I’ve been indoors with air conditioner. I also had a shower. Felt nice.

I am feeling slightly less rubbish it’s a small tiny better but I’ll celebrate that.

Im just going to catch up on forums. Have been unable to do any forums chats today.

Re: Battles

@Appleblossom How are you lovely? Are you having a good day?

I agree CATT teams not fit for purpose. And those police welfare checks go really badly in Victoria. I’ve never had a police welfare check but in the news the situation for people are horrible and sometimes deadly.

Im in aircon today. Very warm in Victoria. What’s it like where you are.

Are you back at TAFE in new year?

Re: Battles

Nah… I’m not ok, far from it @MissGremlin But it doesn’t matter. Thanks for asking.

Im missing being on here but it’s better for my MH if I’m not I think. I’m on days off so I’ll probably only end up doom scrolling Facebook instead. At least that doesn’t get me in trouble.

I’m sorry that there is other stuff too. It is hard just to up and go. I can’t believe you have a snake!!! No thanks…

I have to have another surgery in May and see if the cells have grown back, if they have then I have to have it all taken out. Hospital is August, so if I need the hysterectomy then I’ll be having it or recovering from it in August. So that puts hospital out.

I got home from work at 8 this morning and had 2 hours sleep. So I’m pretty wrecked right now. Just sitting on the lounge with my two dogs.

I hope you are going ok?

Re: Battles

@AlwaysMyself Hello lovely. How are you and did you get some rest yesterday?

Yes it would be awesome if we could get together with fur babies and have a grand picnic and the dogs could play! Nothing from with dreaming about it!

How’s your dad? Sounds like he can be a little challenging? I hope today has been a good day for you and you were maybe able to see a bit of Sydney.
