Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I know even the simplest tasks can feel like a lot when you're running on empty. Please don't be hard on yourself about the dishes or what you haven't managed to do. You've been carrying a lot, and it's okay to take things at your own pace. I'm glad your support worker is coming today, and I hope you can talk with them about how much you're struggling with sleep and the things you're relying on to get some rest

I'm doing alright, thank you for asking. I think I might be coming down with something as I've woken up with a bit of a sore throat, although it could just be hay fever after being outside so much yesterday. Other than that I'm well 😊💛

Re: Battles

@Nala2022 I'm too scared to tell anyone what I've been doing cos I don't want to be taken to hospital.

I finally managed to do the dishes and I've wiped down the kitchen bench.

I'm glad you're doing alright, I'm hoping your store throat settles and that it's nothing more than hay fever.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I can understand why the fear of being taken to hospital might make it feel difficult to open up, but you deserve support and shouldn't have to carry this alone. I really hope you can find a way to let your support worker know what's been happening, even if it's difficult to put into words. I'm glad you managed to get the dishes done and wipe down the bench, too. Please remember to be kind to yourself; you don't have to do everything at once 💛

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin please know you are regularly in my thoughts.

even if I don’t post, please know I’m thinking of you. 🫂

it sounds like you are carrying a massive load, wish I could help ease that for you and take some of the load.

please know you are an amazing person who is loved and cared about

hang in. Baby steps.

does breaking the day into small chunks help? Eg getting through 30mins at a time

im hoping you are able to get lots of help from your support worker

sending you lots of virtual teddy bear hugs

Re: Battles

@Nala2022 i cut my support worker visit short, I couldn't manage it, not today. I've got people coming into my space this afternoon and also tomorrow and it's all too much to cope with. I told her what I've been doing though, not that she cares. I have to go to the shops soon and I don't want to. Everything is overwhelming me and making those thoughts/urges really intense. I'm safe at the moment, just working up the courage to leave the house.

Re: Battles

Hello @Flutterbug9 sweet, thankyou for your kind words ❤️. Things have been alot to manage lately, so much happening and not a chance to catch my breath in between everything.

I often find myself living minute by minute, just trying to get through to the next.

I ended up cutting the time with my support worker short today, all we were doing is standing on my doorstep talking.

Thankyou sweetheart, lots and love and hugs to you too ❤️.
