Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

Hey @MissGremlin sitting with you. Are you able to read back on that list of words we all gave you?

Are you able to reach out to SANE or LL to have a chat?

Re: Battles

Hello @Ru-bee ,I have read them over and over again today but it's just not sinking in. My brain hears them and then shuts it down and tells me every reason why I'm not those things.

I've already tried LL, I've tried to get through to SANE every day, a couple of times a day and each time the call has timed out.

Re: Battles

Okay, I'm glad that you've been reaching out and taking steps to care for yourself @MissGremlin

Do you feel okay keeping connected here and maybe trying a line again? It must be a very busy day, but we're here all day to keep you company any time you're on hold

Re: Battles

@Ru-bee just trying to stay connected here. Don't have it in me to wait on hold for ages again. I can't listen to my music at the same time as being on hold so it takes even more out of me.

Re: Battles

Hi@MissGremlin

It was such a great trip away and I really enjoyed it. I hardly even thought about any of the stuff going on so it was a great distraction and mental break as well. I was having such a good time hanging out with a friend and their family that none of the stuff back here ever entered my mind while I was away. It was nice to be free of it all for a week. It kinda sucks to be back to be honest... dealing with all the stress and worry again. Not that i could escape it forever. But like I said, the break was awesome and I have some great memories from it!

Hello @MJG017 so glad that you enjoyed it and that it was a chance to escape everything else that's going on in your life. You definitely needed and deserved that time away with friends and I'm so happy you got that opportunity 😊.

I know it sucks being back to reality and the stress of everything but we are always here for you.

How are the cats, did they miss you?

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin

The cats are good, Luna seems to have grown in the week we were gone. All 3 do seem to be hanging around us a bit more than usual, so i'm taking it that they missed us terribly... not that possibly they didn't get fed as much by out house sitter. 😂

I hope you've had some positive things happen the past week.

Re: Battles

@MJG017 awww yep I think they definitely missed you.

Haven't been any positives but I did go and see someone yesterday about something that may hopefully happen in the next 2 weeks. If it does happen it will be a good thing but I can't get my hopes up.

Re: Battles

@MJG017 I'm hoping I can nap. I got a blood nose then I got really dizzy and now I can't keep my eyes open and I keep dozing off.

Re: Battles

That doesn't sound too good @MissGremlin is that usual for you to feel dizzy when you have a nosebleed?
