Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Hi @MissGremlin,

I’m really sorry to hear how heavy and exhausting things are feeling today, especially with the lack of sleep, nightmares, and how strong the thoughts and urges are right now.

It makes sense that everything feels overwhelming and draining when you’re so sleep-deprived and already feeling worn down.

You’re not a burden for reaching out here, we’re here for you.

I know it can take a lot to reach out to services/helplines, and I’m sorry you didn’t feel as supported as you needed in that moment.

I’m really glad to hear you’re safe, and that you’re with Casper and have had a little bit of coffee and some craft time, even if it hasn’t helped much today. Take things one moment at a time 💮

Thankyou beautiful @Shaz51 ❤️.

Having to get up so many times sucks so a quiet day today sounds perfect.

Sending hugs sweet ❤️.

Re: Battles

I’m really sorry you’re going through such an intense and exhausting time. It sounds incredibly painful to feel like the thoughts and urges don’t ease at all, especially when you’re doing everything you can just to get through each moment.

I also hear how hurtful it’s been to be met with comments like that from services. No one should be made to feel like they’re a “lost cause” or that they’re too much, I can really understand why that would feel so upsetting and discouraging to hear.

I’m glad you have Casper right now. You don’t have to hold all of this on your own in this space. Sometimes we just need to release our emotions and have a good cry, we’re right here with you @MissGremlin

Re: Battles

Thankyou @Nala2022, I'm trying to just breathe through the tears right now. I don't like when things feel so intense like this and the tears fell like a loss of control.

Casper is laying across me, it helps to have the pressure on me.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I can understand why it feels uncomfortable and overwhelming when emotions reach this point, especially when it feels out of your control.

The pressure and comfort from pets can feel really grounding in moments like this. Just keep taking things one breath and one moment at a time 💛

Hi @MissGremlin

I've had a busy day. I did housework this morning, then went out to my niece's 3rd birthday party. I've just gotten home and I'm sitting in the silence of my house with Luna, enjoying the quiet.

It sounds like today's been tough for you, my friend. Big hugs.
