Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

@NightFury he definitely did and he loved every bit of it.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin my quiche is spinach & feta. I also added some semi-dried tomato and bacon too, to bulk it out. Good thing I tested my eggs in water first, because I knew they were very old. So i did not even crack them open - straight in bin! I knew mum had extra eggs in her fridge from having to bulk-buy the other week. In oven now.

I make quiche without pastry or cream (healthier version I adapted). I guess it is half-way between a quiche and a frittata?

Re: Battles

@AlwaysMyself sounds very yummy. My mum makes it without pastry or cream aswell. Very lucky you checked the eggs first.

Re: Battles

Yeah, don't think I would have thought to if my mum hadn't mentioned it yesterday that i should check them before I use them. 😅

Gosh I don't want to imagine what would have happened if I had cracked them open @MissGremlin -- both the smell and also I think i would have just exploded into tears of defeat with my mood already on edge and tired and dizzy-from-medication.

I can smile and laugh at the thought though.

Re: Battles

@AlwaysMyself oh the smell would have been awful. Completely relate to the reaction if you had of cracked them open, it's like it only takes that one little thing even if it's insignificant to tip you over the edge.

Hugs sweet, be gentle with your wonderful self ❤️

@MissGremlin Hi my lovely, apologies for not replying yesterday, I've been feeling tired and drained the last couple of days. I have been thinking of you though.

How has you day been so far?

I am not doing a lot today, sorting through my music - I like to have the song title, artist, year released and album info listed so it looks nice and neat. I wonder if I have some OCD in me sometimes.

It's a warm one today again which sucks as it makes me even more lethargic.

What's happening with you darling heart? Anything good to report? How is Casper?

Re: Battles

Hello @ENKELI sweetheart, no need to apologise for not replying. I find it hard to keep up sometimes so often I miss replies or just reply in certain threads. Can relate to feeling tired and drained, hugs sweet ❤️.

Today's been really rough, it's been hot here and i had to go to the shops. I found myself very overwhelmed after I got back so sat down with an iced coffee and chatted on the forums. My son and his girlfriend popped in again just before which was lovely but a little too much right before bedtime.

Sorting out music can be relaxing, it's nice to have things in a specific order.

The heat takes everything out of me, give me winter any day 😂. Hope you've been able to stay as cool as possible though sweet.

Nothing good to report other than that Casper is doing well, he's a good boy. How are your gorgeous kitties?

Re: Battles

I am sorry to hear that things are hard today... 😞 @MissGremlin

It's so tricky when our emotions ebb and flow, hey?

Are you doing anything for yourself this evening?

Oh, and what are your plans with Casper for his birthday? 🤩

I am doing okay! There's lots going on atm!! Work, uni, some performing things too, as well as trying to take care of my mental and physical health - being an adult is so many tasks. 😂

Re: Battles

@AuntGlow it's not just today, it's been constant lately but it's getting worse (I'm safe for now) 😞.

I've just gotten into bed after having my son and his girlfriend pop in for a visit. Thinking about doing another bag from my Lego while I listen to an audiobook.

It will just be a normal day but I'll hopefully be able to get Casper a little present cos he loves unwrapping them.

Glad you are doing ok, definitely sounds like alot going on. Being an adult is exhausting sometimes.

Re: Battles

@MissGremlin I should have gone to Funnings and Coles today but just didn't have the energy. I am hoping I feel better tomorrow, especially since it's dropping from 37 today to 27 tomorrow.

It's nice to have family visit but it can be overwhelming at times I know. My mum doesn't understand that sometimes I don't feel like seeing her and will come visit anyway.

I have to complete the amendment to my assessment as well. I have to record a reply to my "team leader" as part of the assessment and the first time I did it the training organisation marked it wrong. I don't like having to record my voice at the best of times so I'm dragging my feet and putting it off. It's like the answering phone calls thing we talked about previously. It can be uncomfortable.

Did the mental health team call you back? I can't believe they are so rude and uncompromising. Definitely not what anyone with MH concerns needs to deal with.

I hope Sunday is a good day for you sweetheart xoxo
