Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Sounds good. How has your Monday treated you? @MissGremlin

Re: Battles

@NightFury it's been a hard day but I had a phone call from the mental health team and she said they can do things via telehealth which is what I need cos of my anxiety. She also said that she can organise a support worker package for me so I can have support. I'm talking to her again on Thursday cos I don't know about the support worker part yet, I don't like anyone coming into my house and don't want to leave Casper home alone for too long if I was to go out either.

How's your day been sweet?

Re: Battles

It sounds like you've made some positive progress today towards getting some support @MissGremlin

I finished and submitted an assignment today. Then started on this week's course work. I'm already overwhelmed by the next assignment and it's due date is two weeks away.

Re: Battles

@NightFury I'm really hoping it's a step in the right direction. My counsellor rang them this morning after checking in with me and I told her that I was struggling so much, she knows I need urgent support.

Well done for submitting the assignment today sweet, you've done so well. I know it's alot but I have faith that you'll get it done, just try to tackle it one little bit at a time and take breaks for self care in between ❤️

Re: Battles

Your counsellor sounds very proactive and like she cares @MissGremlin

I wish I had your faith, Dreamy. I don't know if I can do both study and my new job at the moment. I don't know and that brings up the old, "you're a failure," thoughts.

Re: Battles

@NightFury my counsellor is really amazing.

Oh sweet, i hear you. But you're definitely not a failure, not at all. Are you able to get an extension for it to ease a bit of the pressure sweet?

In response to: Re: Battles

Re: Battles

I can get an extension @MissGremlin. I had one for this assignment. It was due yesterday and I had a three day extension.

My online course coordinator is brilliant. I've been honest about my challenges and my mental health and she allows me extensions without having to submit all the paper work.

Re: Battles

@NightFury that's good, I'm glad you can sweet. You're managing so much at the moment and it will take time to get into a routine with things so try to be gentle with yourself while you find your way ❤️.

Re: Battles

Managing it all is hard @MissGremlin and overwhelming. I know it'll take time to figure it all out, it just feels like a lot.
