Gardens

Hi @Dimity How is your garden looking? Still green? Weeds? What is your favourite plant/s you have?

were you able to bring Tiger home?

Im slowly trying to teach myself about gardening, thank goodness for Google. One of my neighbours has good plant knowledge, it was her that suggested putting the cuttings into water. She puts water in old juice bottle each time she wants to get cuttings to grow roots.

Re: Gardens

@Jynx I noticed couple of them are types of kalanchoe, definitely food for thought.

with having some that flower I like the idea of having some plants just for their distinctive, different colour or shaped leaves

Re: Gardens

Does kalanchoe denote the succulents that once they flower, they die (only suvived by their chicks, right? and will occasionally flower when distressed) @Former-Member ?

Re: Gardens

Haven’t heard any of that @Jynx

There are different types of Kalanchoe.

your Chocolate soldier is type of Kalanchoe.

Kalanchoe that I planted 1 year ago have grown in size, flowering more than once in that time, these are Kalanchoe blossfeldiana

As far as I know, some Kalanchoe produce flowers and others don’t.

Im thinking of visiting nursery I know of, see what they have plus have chat with one of their staff

In the photos you took, think you have more than one type Kalanchoe

Re: Gardens

Also known as Living Rocks

Know nothing about them apart from that @Jynx

Re: Gardens

@Former-Member same pretty much, except that they're difficult to take care of. But the range of colours is what made me think of em!!

Also... they're.... butt plants, no? 🤣

@Jynx @Dimity

I’ve bought 6 little succulents, type suggested by lady at plant nursery. They currently have sale on which was bonus. 😀 they also advised planting at least 2 in one pot will help limit number and size of the rosettes each plant will produce.

photos taken with different app than you use @Jynx

I prefer the app you use. 🙂
