Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Shaz51. Not good to hear that. When will you hear from the doctors exactly what that shadow on her lungs means?
May be pneumonia.

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar is there any way to remove some of those stressors? But sometimes we have to accept help even if we dont want it unfortunatley. I understand a heap of anatomy too, but im no expert thats for sure so I still rely on health professionals a fair bit but slowly I learnt hings msyelf and have learnt to treat some things wihout going to the drs.

I believe you cried because it was going to be a loss of independence and rather than discussing it rantinally with you they treated you like a child and TOLD you what to do when in fact you have your own mind and are quite capabale of making decisions with the right information..

yeah we get spiders more in summer but usually more during the summer rains as the moist brings them out of the vents and things. And yes being held hostage with a spider is avery good lesson learnt in bladder holding!

Thanks for caring @Owlunar I do appreciate it. I care very much for you too.

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Shaz51 my sin had a really severe case if pneumonia a few years ago. They showed up in the chest scans. But after heavy antibiotics and lits of saline *he was also severely dehydrated) & proper rest - his lungs are now clear.
I hope your mum is the same.

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Shaz51

I'm sorry your Mum has been so ill and glad she is a little better - she is pretty elderly I seem to remember and had a huge operation not long ago - so

Wow - she must be a tough old lady to cope with so much

With your own health problems which are considerable - and Mr Shaz needing to lie down if things aren't going right and your Mum being so ill you really do have a lot on your plate - so we can wish you the best and do a lot of hoping and praying

I hope things work out in time - but rest assured I am thinking of you - we are thinking of you

Sending the usualy hugs

This one really seems to work - it has to be my favourite

Re: Life can be a Pain

Ah yes - and my daughter came around late yesterday and planted my baby salads and herbs - I was thinking of going to Lakes Entrance for a few days soon but I will waiting until these are established

A few years ago I bought a bunch of these home and it was just starting to rain but I got them all into the pots before I got drenched and it rained for days - okay - this was good for the plants - heavy rain just after they have been planted works well - and I was able to started eating them almost straight away - and they last for weeks - and can be replaced

There is nothing quite like anything brought in from the garden right before we eat it - it is fantastic -
