Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Hi @outlander

Yes - I did read the post you put on this thread early this morning - it was the first one I read when I was still in bed

And it's exactly what I have been telling myself so that's what I want to hear

I am so stubborn - so thanks to my Gran and my Dad - I know what I want - as do you really know what you want - and we do what we have to do get there

I wish you all the best

Hi @outlander@utopia@Zoe7@Shaz51@Former-Member

Thanks so much for your support my dear and awesome friends

I saw my doctor late today and told him about the physiotherapist - so

At least I have had the damage knee explained and I have been given some helpful exercises and after that it wasn't helpful so I am not going back - I actually told him that I wasn't going back - and that feels like a huge relief

No one can be forced into having surgery that don't want and who does it hurt if I spend the rest of my life walking around with crutches - and I actually feel great walking around with them - I stand straighter - and I am building muscle bulk when is great

Okay - other people in Melbourne - if you have been out today have you noticed how much traffic there has been - there have been so many traffic jams and so many people aroiund -

Just hard work - I have been a passenger today - but yes - it seems really hard for my drivers to get a fair go

Anyway - peeps - I feel a lot better this afternoon - at least I know what is a good idea for me

You certainly sound more up-beat tonight @Owlunar It is amazing how making a decision can finally release some of the pressure - whatever direction that decision is in. WTG Dec - you did what YOU wanted to do

Re: Life can be a Pain

Yes @Zoe7

I am feeling a lot better now I have seen my doctor who knows me and made the decision not to be lectured by a physio - it takes time to break a doctor in - when he inherited me when my former GP retired we have a few arguments getting to know each other but we have been through those rockies parts and understand each other

And when I was telling the doctor about the physio he was typing into the computer and I asked if he was writing all my complaints there and he said "No - just writing that the physio upset you"

Yes - he die - and I let him - aw - not good for the assertiveness lady - but true - I was not up to the mark and I feel heaps better now
