Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Hi @outlander

I didn't sleep well last night but the day has been okay - I surely did get up early and I hope to get an early night

I was reading that you are having problems finding a GP to suit you - that's tough - but remember that because your mother thinks a doctor got their qualifications out of a cornflakes packets doesn't make it true

When it comes to choosing a doctor it really needs to be someone you feel you can trust - I hope you find one soon

Well @outlander - I certainly know what it's like to have someone I love living on the streets in winter - it's heart-breatking - and I am so glad you are inspired to help in some way - that is brilliant

Is Share the Dignity a charity who assists the homeless - I have been thinking of a charity to donate this year myself -

Sheesh @Shaz51

It goes on and on and on - not fun at all

I guess you have had those pains in your gullet that make you feel as if you are torn apart inside - I have medication to take for that - I can get acid reflux after my tablets now and again

Yes - @outlander as well - we all need a good night's sleep tonight

Dec

Aw - that looks absolutely wonderful - only I have companion cat - no Teddy

Hi @Former-Member@outlander@Shaz51@utopia@Zoe7@Faith-and-Hope

I love that pic Lapses - and yes - we are Chronic Pain Warriors

Something I could do without is headaches - I do wear glasses all the time and they are pretty strong - maybe I was really tired and went to sleep watching TV and got my neck into the wrong place but I do remember 48 Hours starting - 7.30pm - and when I woke up it was into infomercials - sheesh they do annoy me - but it took a while to figure out that I had eaten dinner, I had cleaned my teeth and taken my medication - there were dishes in the sink and I could survive without a shower so

Let's just go to bed

And I did

And slept again - I must have needed it

And so I have had a slow start with a headache and feel flat as a tack.

The stress I was feeling has passed so that's a good thing - and the weather is definitely mild compared to what we now have

So - back to my point - sorry for the slow start - and I will catch up with people -

Thinking about all of you and a few others
