Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Thanks @Snowie @EternalFlower @TAB

Yes - it has been a good day - I really enjoyed a coffee at the local coffee hang-out too - great coffee there

I did have a procedure on my shoulder on Monday last week Tabby Cat - that was at my specialist's clinic and it flared things up a bit but it is settling now

How have you had the results of your tests yet - I hope all is well

Hi @Zoe7

I heard on the news this evening that kids are having anxiety about going back to school - that is so sad to hear - I hope things are better in Tassie - we did have maximum lock downs here and MH services are booked out - not good at all

I wish the best possible for you this week as you prepare for return to the class-room - I went past the Primary School where I used to teach CE. I miss that - and I would love to return to the class room.

well hopefully it stays that way @Owlunar ah I'm guessing you mean thyroid tests or more recently colonoscopy either way, results okay , alright had dodgy heartbeat under anaethesia, seeing GP about that this week, lost count of ECGs never find anything, am not young, not fit, not that healthy, had not eaten for 3 days, was badly dehydrated (both per their instructions) and was a a hot day .. so, lost count of how many ECGs had at Gps and nothing ever showed up, but see what happens

Lovely to hear from you @Owlunar

Being able to enjoy the simple things helps.

I am doing well. I am committing to Living as Fully as I can.

I have your old name on my drop down ?? @Decadian

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hello, @Owlunar. Pleased to hear you're doing well. The weather has been quite nice by my measure. Except for a few sweltering days, the rest of our Summer days have been very pleasant, in the low to mid 20s. I only get to experience the outdoor weather if I go for a walk, which I try to do on a regular basis, indoor weather is more able to be regulated.

I love a good quiz, too. I watch Jeopardy and Mastermind. It took me quite a while to understand the structure of the questions on the former as a lot are America-related. I did enjoy Eggheads, too, back in the day. Those Eggheads have amazing recall on such diverse subjects. I wish my brain worked that way!

I've been working on my latest assignment. They say it gets harder as we go along. I think we are already there. Retaining information is an area I'll have to work on. Some people just seem to retain information on first reading. I'm not so lucky.

Have a good day.
