Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

@Emelia8

Hi Em

I just love the roller coaster - the last time I went to Luna Park I used all my tickets on the Big Dipper - what a day - I will never forget it

Yes - life is like a roller coaster - and with the years I have learned to take the ups and downs and wild curves in my stride - and sometimes it can be unsettling - but a life has to be worth living and mine has been

Thanks - my dear friend

Thanks @Anastasia - I always appreaciate your posts and so often they come at exactly the right moment

I was keeoing a low profile except for one member having a rough and tough time ,- mostly I was into self care. Both my parents' dates have passed now and I was okay - they both lasted into their 90s - not many people are so blessed - I have mixed feelings about my mother - but she's gone

The changeable Melbourne weather is stirring my chronic pain - I will need more treatments and they work so well for me - no mixed feelings about that 👍

I hope you are well I have to catch up on everyone's news

All the best

Hi @Emelia8 @Shaz51 @Myboy @Hamso @BlueBay @utopia @Faith-and-Hope @TAB @outlander @Sans911 @Snowie @Historylover @Faith-and-Hope @Clawde

It's good to be back after taking some time out - I have passed through the dates of my parents' passing and it was okay this year - after all - they were both in their 90s when they died and at least they didn't have to live through this panademic - or not - which is a blessing because so many people did not get off so easily with their frail-aged parents

The changeable weather in Melbourne has stirred my back up - it's over 10 months since I had the facet joint injections and they really worked well - I was really excited after the procedure - no sedation for that one - and my specialist told me to calm down - it's not permanent - I am sure he didn't expect it to last this long though - I guess I will be having the facet joints done again soon though I have a few weeks to wait to see him again - he is very popular and no wonder when his magic needles work so well

My shoulder isn't comfortable at all - and I think I will be having another ablation soon - I still have to wait to see him - however I will not wait until I have the appointment again - I will be emailing him if the pain gets too hard for me to endure as was the case a few weeks back and ten days in hospital was not my idea of the best way to pass my time -

Still I am so glad I changed specialists - this man is really hands on with his treatments and it works well for me - for this I give thanks often

I had local anaesthetic injections into my knee when I saw him before Christmas and these are working well too - it's just the abrupt changes in barometric pressure that give me a hard time

Hi there @Clawde - I have seen you around the forum giving people a lot of support - I would like to welcome you to the forum family and I am looking forward to learning more about you
