Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Hi @Anastasia @BlueBay @Emelia8 @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @MDT @TAB @Zoe7

I came home from hospital yesterday and very glad for that - it was a long trip in - thank God for private insurance - now I am okay I realize the pain was at the dreaded 10 - I can't imagine pain any worse though I have had emotional pain that hurt more - I do know this - at least they can treat a lot of physical pain

I cried a lot and I don't cry much - most of my tears have been spent on grief - I was embarrassed though heaven knows I should not need to be

The pain is so much less now - I have had only a few pain killers since the surgery - so good and also good to eat my own cooking - I love vegetables

My house was a mess when I got home - I have fixed most of that

Thanks so much for your support every one - so much love and how wonderful💜💙

It has made my day knowing that you are out of that dreaded pain, home, reasonably comfortable and ok. A cry is necessary at times. Big hugs and love. You are a super star dear Dec xxx

Thanks @Anastasia

I could aleady be a superstar - yes- that is a good description to own - I will take that - tears and all - I felt like such a sook but we are all entitled to weep - sheesh - I was noisy but I didn't use bad language like I do in private hmmm yeah - I could have done worse

That pain was dreaded - I spoke with my specialist about not having this happen again - the next time I see him we will discuss sten-cell treatment - I always like plans and alternatives

I agree @Owlunar plans and alternatives"rock" they go with your Superstar status. Haha thanks for the giggle. Stem cell sounds like a great plan, they can do incredible things. Then not only will you be a superstar you'll be the bionic woman too! Look out, the new improved Dec is on the horizon xxxx

Big (gentle) hugs my dear friend 💞

@DecadianDec, I am glad you are safe and home with a tidy house and options for the future. Your calm and cool planning mind is a great inspiration. You were matter of fact, but major surgery leaves its wound no matter the health care.

On the lighter note...

Ooh you wonderful women @Anastasia @Owlunar

Turning the unspeakable into a thing of play.

Tears and Laughter.
