Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

The class is going okay - a few things to iron out but it is progressing in a positive way @Owlunar Overall the kids are gorgeous and we have a lot of fun - that is the best type of learning ...where you can enjoy your day and don't actually realise how much you have done. I love instilling that kind of learning in the kids - school should be fun and if the kids go home happy and have learnt something during the day then that is all we can ask.

What name would you give the owl Dec?

Hi @Zoe7

I went out to see if my owl was there last night but it was raining

I thought about it and the owl is probably a juvenile and might have got lost - I know where the owls are around here - some distance from where I live but not far as owls fly I guess

I thought about it and I am going to call her and I think I like of Owlunar - because of the owl inside the solar eclipse - it suits me well

Thanks for the idea

It's so great that things are working out at school and kids do learn better when they are happy - don't we all - I used to like my job and most of the time went home happy every day - that's how it should be

Of course - we all have days that pass slowly and we are not happy - days when it all goes pear-shaped - I did not set out to be an accountant but it turned out that it was a job that really suited me

I love the name @Owlunar and am stoked you used your avatar picture as inspiration I hope the little owl made it's way back to it's home and is happy again with others around it. They are such beautiful creatures and I can understand why you love them. I have made owls with the kids several times in the past with both material and felt - the kids love doing them. Getting prepared today to make pompom animals with the kids tomorrow. I finally got all the wool I needed now have to cut the cardboard rings and get the felt and fluffy material I need from the middle of my spare room - of course all the boxes surround the one I need so it will take some effort.

Resting now for a while then I'll get back to it. Hope your day is going well. Hugs

Thanks @Zoe7

I'm stoked you love the name too - and I hope she found her Mum - she looked white in the light btw - and sat there so peacefully when I walked around her space and talked to her and shone the torch and took photos - I hope that she is blessed because she has a name -

I loved making things with felt when I taught CRE in the infant school - the kids really love visual aids and I think they learn more with them -

And you had a huge day shopping - true - you have more to do but things will get done in time - I am hoping you don't have the frigid air we have in Melbourne today - I thought of booking my trip but lack motivation - too many parts of me are reacting to the cold (brrrr)

It's good you are resting - I think I will knock-off for now - I have a couple of things to attend to before Star Trek starts - I need to use the wheat packs on the sore parts

It will pass

I hope you get a good rest too Zoe

It is cold today here too @Owlunar but not as cold as I expected - but then it may be that I am used to it over this winter I went out with thongs on lol and a warm jacket - I much prefer not wearing shoes if I can get away with it so thongs are sort of a middle ground

Think I need a sleep again - still very tired and not feeling the best this afternoon. Was a bit sniffly last night so hope I am not coming down with a cold - there have been a few kids away with illness over the last couple of weeks (and teachers too) and hoped I managed to avoid it this winter. With any luck a rest and some extra supplements will knock it on it's head and I will be okay.

Hope your sore spots improve with the heat packs and you get some rest this afternoon as well.
