Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Thanks @outlander

That's a good idea - today I have my crocs with soft fluffy bedsocks inside and hope to get out for a walk - this I was going to do earlier but we had a spot of rain

It's amazing how fast time goes though - I always seem to have plenty to do -

I'm looking forward to seeing my sil tomorrow - that will be really good

Thanks @outlander and @BlueBay

I took a walk up the street and back again and it was lovely out in the fresh air - and can take my shoe and sock off again now

It was so pleasant - I would have like to have walked further

Over the weekend I watched some DVDs - guess what - Little House on the Prairie - now they are great stories but how tough life was then - I really like to live in a city with amenities

Hi @Shaz51 @outlander @BlueBay @Former-Member @utopia @Faith-and-Hope

I saw my son-in-law today - and he looks really well - it will take him a while to recover from such a huge operation - and such a shock to the system too - no warning except a tight feeling in his chest from time to time -

It's great to see him looking so well - he really does - his heart must have been under a lot of stress

I had monster of a migraine this afternoon - who do they come from and how do we chase them away - I had a supplement I take that is a pretty good helper and some pain medication as well and lay on my bed in the lovely afternoon sunshine and meditated - I have so much to be thankful for

And my toe seems to be clearing up - at last - I would like to go for a walk this afternoon - it has been such a beautiful day today - in Melbourne

Re: Life can be a Pain

It's still there @Shaz51 but not as bad as it was during the afternoon

I feel very tired and fell asleep watching TV - no appetite today

The sunshine was brilliant today - I saw my daughter and sil and then came home in a taxi and the road was heading north with the sun shining directly into my eyes - I think that caused it

I'm sorry you have them too - I am sorry about anyone having them - this one could have been worse -

Thanks Shaz

Hi @Shaz51 @outlander @BlueBay @Former-Member @utopia

It's Tuesday - this is my Tuesday meme now - I love it

AW - it feels better just lookingMelbourne's cold, grey, gloominess is getting to me - time for me to get into some self-care and warm up a bit - we must always attend to our own pressing needs

Which brings me to my last disastrous hair-cut and finding a new hairdresser yesterday who just rents a chair - I had to let my hair grow after the last effort - no need for me to go into the details of a bad haircut - or why I feel the need to find someone else - but happenstance led me to the new one and she seems bright and happy and ready to fix the damage next Tuesday

It's time to sort out my trip to see my grand-daughter - I need to find out when my daughter and son-in-law are planning to go because it's better to stretch out the visits - and then I also have a birthday coming up - time to look at the tropics again

I can't fly from the Sunshine Coast to Cairns so I am putting Cairns off until nearer spring - I will factor in a visit to the Glass House Mountains - I have always wanted to got there - this might be the time

The dreaded anniversary is coming up - I have gone away for this before and found I still have to experience what is there to experience - I have been so much better this year - time to plan getting away from Melbourne - truly

I am pleased with how well I have done this year
