Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi everyone following

My son-in-law is doing well - he has the tube out of his throat and is able to talk and says he's bored and wanted bacon and eggs for breakfast - all good signs I think

I am very tired today - it has all caught up with me and I have a pretty vigorous headache and I have decided to go to bed for a while and if I sleep that will be great -

Everyone's support has been fantastic - I coped with it all yesterday when he was having the operation which lasted a long time - and the day was really long too

Normally I would take a walk but it is really cold here today - I have been on the phone to my daughter and grand-daughter - it's tough for gd to be so far away from her family at such a time but Melbourne's weather could lay her down - that's what chronic fatigue does - cold weather increases her pain -

Dec - hopefully back later

I'm having my toenail excised tomorrow - I might has well get that out of the way - aw

Hi @BlueBay @BryanaCamp @Razzle @Former-Member @utopia

After the difficult weekend I have had - and I haven't heard today about my son-in-law tooday - I have my toe-nail operation - a large piece of the nail on my right big toe

I feel like a sook - I know I'm not but I feel like it

The last time I had this done the local didn't work very well and this time I wanted to make sure it did and it was hurting and I kept saying telling the doctor and the nurses and felt as if I wasn't being heard and eventually asked loudly "Is anyone listening to me?" - and they were - and it was okay after that but I was upset and feel over-extended - maybe I should not have had this done today but it had to happen

I really feel like crying - at the time I could have burst into tears - I feel very fragile.

My son-in-law is an important part of my family and we are all very lucky he didn't have a heart attack - I feel very vulnerable atm
