Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope @BlueBay @outlander @Razzle

Crossed fingers seem to work too

Thanks everyone - I will take all and any support -

Fridays are busy days for me - I just got home before my grand-daughter's text - I had better cook some dinner for myself - easy little casserole will be good

I didn't sleep well last night - it was not a good night in any sense of the word - I guess I was anticipation sil's up-coming surgery -

It sure snuck up on him

Sorry to hear about sil @Owlunar

That bit about life happens when you are making other plans.

Cheese on toast here. Saving the beef and wine roast for another day ....

Thanks @Appleblossom

That's so true about life and other plans - I hear you - I had made an appointment to have my toenail excised next week - that can still happen

I have had a text from my gd - she is pretty shocked and not sure of coming to Melbourne - I would get her onto a red-eye if that's what she wanted to do but it's up to her

Sometimes - when there is a crisis - we need to sit back and not fuss around but one thing I could do is organised flying my gd down here

Tonight my Friday Feast is salmon, corn, rice and bacon casserole - it's cooking right now - or rather seeing as it's a bunch of prepared food it's just heating it up

Thanks Apple

@Owlunar . My best thoughts to your SIL. I'm sure his surgery will be a success. He's in good hands.

Thanks @outlander

I wonder if I will sleep tonight - it all feels unsettled right now but my sil is in the right place right now - I had no idea it was so bad but still - people have these operation successfully all the time

It's harder when it's our own family though -

Concern - I feel concern - I think since I got home around 6.00 pm I have had a worried/concered/anxiety/bothered/etc transplant

And keeping out of it because of others in the family - one part of maturity is knowing when to keep out from under people's feet at such a time

im not surprised it all feel unsettled right now @Owlunar despite him being in the right place its natural to be concerned about him and what the outcomes may be esp when they are family or close friends.
