Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Former-Member

I love the blanky - always love a blanky -

And @Shaz51 - I have the resident headache we hand around too

But although I had to take some extra medication over the weekend my back wasn't too bad

It's a beautiful day here - it was a strange night - I do not not like when the time changes either way - and I kept waking up - and it seemed to last all night - and my cat is being a pain in the tail too

I figured her out - she feels unhappy because I went away - she has never done this before but last night every time I got up or woke up or tried to rearrange my life she got nervous and seems to need me to reassure her

Oh great - I will spend the next few months reassuring her and then I will go away again

On Thursday she is having her claws clipped again - oh sheesh - she is taking her ire out on the fly screen in the front door

It's a really beautiful day though -

@Former-Member ..... ❤️💕💐

Big hugs for how you're feeling Hon ....

Here is something I have learned .... people have very different ways of letting bygones be bygones sometimes.

Our Christian faith teaches us to try to repair discord wherever we can, and try to recreate a happy atmosphere, to keep trying to approach the other person with opportunities to renew the relationship or acquaintanceship ......

But that is not everyone's value system.

For some people, all they want after an altercation of some kind is to put it down, and move forward away from it ..... in their own space and taking care to avoid yours.

They are not interested in trying to repair it, and efforts on your part to do so can only come across as agitating, especially if there is mention made about being overlooked or rebuffed .....

What one party might view as attempts at peace-making can be viewed by the other party as invasive of the distance and space they are trying to create.

It took me a while to understand this difference because it was foreign to my family's way, and I took it personally that people wanted to walk away from me and not patch things up between us .....

But that is part of the diversity in this world. We are not all the same. Now I just accept that it's their way to "agree to disagree" and give them a wide berth.

I hope this helps .....

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thank You @Faith-and-Hope, made mW cry. You sure make sense (what a relief someone does). I keep forgetting christian values are for The Kingdom of God and not outsiders. They just want to crucify forgiveness. I think I'm emotionally immature cause I still take it very personally, maybe too because my life 'support systems' is so very tiny - its out of proportion. But you're right, they have freedom of choice, its there way. At least this incident on nightshift today spelled it out clear after a year of not knowing. Thanks for hugz, its silly how much distress I feel, obviously triggered past stuff to surface. I haven't wanted to bother you because it might ruin your friendships here (everyone likes you) and because you are carrying much yourself. Its nice that you 'get' me and bother. Need input when emotions throw brain out.. Thanks. Just realised my house is in darkness, it got dark outside and I've been in bed feeling cold. At least dog stays with me. Oh Gish I'm so sad. Tomorrows another day. Might make a cup of ChaiLate, want one ♨♨♨ here's one for Dec too, when she next checks in 🙂 oh gosh I'm a mess. Back soon ❤

@Former-Member ..... 💕

And don't worry .... I'm sure I get up some people's noses sometimes .... and they're probably avoiding me .... and I'm probably too ditzy to notice .... 😆

Re: Life can be a Pain

Yes @Former-Member .... bd's home tonight.

Had a mini-melt-down happening .... WH is talking about us all heading back to Greece for their summer, and D3 told him she's not going .... you might have heard it from m where you are .... ?

I have just spent the last couple of hours in "United Nations" negotiations .... :face_with_rolling_eyes:

Dinner was some Dolmathes - savoury rice wrapped cabbage leaves and cooked .... and some cashews. Fasting for Easter ....

Re: Life can be a Pain

Gosh you're funny re "united nations negotiations" Must say i don't blame D3 - they like their friends at that age. WH sounds very tawn between family life and doing his own thing. One day hell wake up and see what he's lost, I hope.
Your meal sounds fascinating (different), cabbage and rice, hmm. So is your 'lent' fast exclude meat?

In response to: Re: Life can be a Pain

Re: Life can be a Pain

Lenten fast excludes meat and dairy @Former-Member ... think Vegan plus shellfish / snails / locusts if you like .... lol ... and at times oil is removed as well, which really makes it restrictive.
